Bill Bruford was born on May 17, 1949 in Sevenoaks, Kent, England, UK. He is an actor and director, known for Apollo 18 (2011), Mandy (2018) and Buffalo '66 (1998). He has been married to Carolyn since March 2, 1973. They have three children.
Rock and jazz drummer, formerly with bands such as Yes, King Crimson
and Earthworks.
Bruford played in both Savoy Brown and King Crimson, bands that had the
highest turnover rates (over 100 players between them) for musicians in
the '70s.
Educated at Tonbridge School, Kent.
He was the touring drummer for Genesis during their 1976 "Trick of The Tail
Tour". This was Phil Collins' first tour as lead singer after replacing Peter Gabriel. Bruford was then permanently replaced as touring drummer in Genesis by American Chester Thompson in 1977.
His son, Alex, is the drummer in the band The Infadels.
