Besides his filmcompositions Harald Böhmelt also wrote some works for the stage, among them the operetta "Ein Mann kommt in die Stadt" (1937) and the comedy "Der Zauberer" (1940).
Harald Böhmelt continued his career after World War II and he wrote the music for the productions "Der grosse Fall" (1949), "Unschuld in tausend Nöten" (1951), "Wetterleuchten um Maria" (1957) and "Die rote Hand" (1960).
He joined the film business in 1933 where he composed numerous soundtracks for the film.
