One of the most recognizable mob-boss faces in the movies, even though he only appeared on a handful of films, Pasquale Cajano was born in Italy in 1921. A friend of the Scorsese family, he made his screen debut on a bit part in
The Age of Innocence (1993), followed by the memorable mob boss Remo Gaggi in
Casino (1995).
Cajano also appeared on
Where Evil Lies (1995),
Big Night (1996), the acclaimed
Sleepers (1996),
The Impostors (1998) and again as mob boss Joe Baldassare in the comedy
Analyze This (1999).
Pasquale wasn't actor by tradition, in fact he worked as a broadcaster on Italian-language radio in New York City.
He died of prostate cancer in 2000.
