Warner Bros. Animation has produced multiple animated shows with their most popular character Batman as the protagonist. Bruce Timm’s Batman: The Animated Series was one of the defining shows based on the character that has a long-lasting legacy. The show starred Kevin Conroy as the Caped Crusader and was the beginning of the Dcau.
From 2004 to 2008, The Batman animated series aired as another show centered around Bruce Wayne’s exploits as Batman. The show was not part of th Timmverse and had to distinguish itself from the legendary shows of the Dcau. One way in which the producers of the show made it happen was by making Wayne’s diet include snacks and other relatable food that anyone would eat while in a hurry.

Given its widespread acclaim and enduring recognition, there’s no denying the significant impact it has had on shaping perceptions of the Caped Crusader, a legacy that continues to resonate even decades later.

Where in the world has Carmen Sandiego been? On Jan. 18, after a 20-year absence of our favorite former spy turned international thief, Netflix will bring back the character with an eponymous animated series starring Gina Rodriguez. The iconic edutainment character first debuted in a 1985 video game, and since then, she has whisked millions of children to every corner of the world, stealing treasures and causing mischief. The last iteration, the animated TV series, “Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego?”, with Rita Moreno voicing the antiheroine, wrapped in 1999.
But executive producer Caroline Fraser feels now more than ever, the television landscape needs a show such as this. “We felt like kids really would benefit from a reigniting of learning about and celebrating cultures around the world. And we also felt like from an entertainment perspective, there were not many action adventure heroes that featured female hero leads, particularly a Latina heroine,...

The hunt for Carmen Sandiego begins (again) in 2019. Netflix on Monday announced that its upcoming reboot of the classic animated series — which features the voice of Jane the Virgin‘s Gina Rodriguez in the title role — will drop its first season on Friday, Jan. 18.
Netflix’s reboot, which has been ordered for 20 22-minute episodes thus far, will turn back the clock, explaining how and why the red-robed robber became the maniacal mastermind she is today. Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) will voice Player, Carmen’s accomplice and confidant, in the new series, which is being executive-produced by The Batman‘s Duane Capizzi.

Deadline first reported that the Golden Globe winner will star and co-produce a forthcoming, live-action feature on the scarlet-clad thief, news she shared on Twitter. Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? A question that today can be answered without looking at a map. Her character was part of an educational computer game franchise where you tried to stop Carmen Sandiego, a super theif, from stealing the worlds treasures all while learning about geography. This iconic series also made it off the computer screen and into books, an animated series that lasted 40 episodes starting in 1994, and a live action game show that starred Lynne Thigpen as "The Chief".
We will once again be able to follow Carmen thanks to Netflix according to The Tracking Board. They have ordered 22, 22-minute episodes that will premiere in 2019. It didn’t take long for Amazon to show that it’s really getting behind its original programming theory. It doesn’t seem that long since we were running through the pilots and filling out polls, but Amazon is already saying it wants to see more, and continue on this road.
Five more shows aimed at children will produce pilots in the hopes of getting a series green light, and like the last set of children’s programming, these look like they’ll be great shows. From massively prestigious pedigrees in the business to someone Amazon found through their open submission process, there’s a lot to look forward to here. Amazon Studios kids shows were the best part of the initial run of pilots for me, and I think they may be aiming to make a real push into the market with these additional titles.

The Movie Pool rolls out the new Transformers Prime: One Shall Stand DVD!
The Set-up
Megatron joins forces with the Autobots to battle Unicron, whose presence threatens every life on Earth.
The Delivery
This epic story arc includes seven episodes of Transformers Prime, and is better than any of the plots for the Transformers movies. Incredibly well written, the storyline is intelligent and told with plenty of drama and emotion, something other incarnations of Transformers have failed to do.
CGI animation often feels a bit cold and calculated, devoid of a soul. When it comes to animated robots, the emotional disconnection can be even more apparent. The Prime incarnation manages to work thanks to combination of great writing and good voice acting. Sure, these are still a bunch of robots blowing stuff up, but you connect with their personalities and like them.

Transformers truly are a toy and movie franchise that bridge generation gaps. As a 28-year old industry, it gives parents who grew up with the "Robots in Disguise" a way to geek out with their children. The Autobots and Decepticons are more popular now than they've ever been after three blockbuster movies and a successful weekly CG television series still airing. Shout! Factory's Transformers Prime: One Shall Stand is made up of seven episodes of that successful show melded together into one seamless film.
Humankind is once again threatened by Megatron and his Decepticons as the diabolical leader continues to seek for the way to unlock the powers of Dark Energon. Optimus Prime and the Autobots must come head to head with the evil robots before Megatron can discover its full potential. At the same time, a more sinister threat is discovered at the center of the Earth... Unicron.

2012 will be the first year that GeekTrant will invade WonderCon, mostly due to the fact that it was moved down to Anaheim, CA this year which is right in our backyard. We're all pretty excited about attending this year, as we've heard it's a much smaller more intimate version of San Diego Comic Con.
WonderCon is set to open on Friday, March 16th and run through Sunday, March 18th at the Anaheim Convention Center. If you plan on attending let us know, and maybe we can meet up and hang out for a bit!
I've put stars next to the panels we are interested in attending. Check out the schedule, and let us know what you are looking forward to seeing most!
Friday March 16th
12:30-1:30 Idw Presents: The Idw Panel!— Chief creative officer Chris Ryall and sergeant of marketing Dirk Wood, give out prizes, make announcements, and evade questions!

Autobots, prepare yourselves for the Transformers to hit San Diego Comic-Con with Transformers: Prime! And this time, we promise no Shia Labeouf.
Transformers: Prime will host its very own panel this year, taking place on Thursday, July 21st from 3:30pm - 4:30pm in Room 24Abc, but the real questions lies in what we might see. Footage from the new season seems like a strong possibility, given the show's been renewed for sixty-five episodes.
Could there also be new characters introduced or previewed? Let's see who'll be on hand to give us all the answers!
Mike Vogel (Head of Development at Hasbro Studios)
Brian Lenard (Executive Producer)
Jeff Kline (Executive Producer)
Duane Capizzi (Executive Producer)
Jose Lopez (Character Designer)

If you haven’t been watching the new animated series Transformers Prime yet, then now is the time to start. The series is still in it’s first season, and it’s a pretty awesome show that I think many of you would enjoy. The show has a great voice cast which includes Peter Cullen, Ernie Hudson, and many more. There is also a great talented team behind its development. The show's got a great design, solid storys with nice character story arcs, and it’s darker than many of the the animated shows out there. The series has a great mix of stuff that both kids and adults will enjoy, it will also no doubt make Transformers fans happy. I grew up watching the original 1980’s Transformers series, which I loved, but there are aspects of Transformers Prime that make it superior to the original series, and the films that have been made.
