The Golden Bachelorette is official, and now that we know the senior woman-led spin-off is coming to ABC, the debate is on about who should be the star.
It seems a lock that someone from Gerry Turner’s season of The Golden Bachelor will be picked to lead the new show.
The Golden Bachelor fans seem to want that and have offered up suggestions of who they think would do a great job.
They’ve also been very vocal about who they don’t want to get the role because we just can’t imagine watching a full season focused on them.
That hasn’t stopped fans of the first senior spin-off from sharing their opinions on who else should be in the running.
Some seem to think that a celebrity should get the honor of being cast as the first Golden Bachelorette.

Hard Ticket to Hawaii (1987) Director: Andy Sidaris Stars: Ronn Moss, Dona Speir, Hope Marie Carlton A group of buxom secret agents must take down drug dealers, diamond smugglers, and a carcinogenic snake. The name Andy Sidaris may not have the same recognition as more famous B-movie auteurs like Roger Corman or Lloyd Kaufman, but Sidaris' run of ridiculous and raunchy flicks in the 80s and 90s...

If you’re going to watch the movies of Andy Sidaris, you’ll require a mental divide of some sort, especially if you’re the sort of person who believes we should all be treated and viewed equally. While we all, as humans, like looking at pretty pictures of people of whatever gender floats our boat, at some point – usually about half an hour in – of one of his movies, even the most dedicated admirer of boobs will be thinking “any time you want to get back to the plot is fine by me”.
Below is the scene that first interested me in the work of Mr Sidaris. If you like it, read on, if you groan, then We Are Movie Geeks has many articles about decent movies to enjoy. Here it is:

Nearly three years after releasing the original Slumber Party Massacre as a special edition Blu-ray, Scream Factory has finally put a double feature disc of its two sequels: 1987’s Slumber Party Massacre II and 1990’s Slumber Party Massacre III. It’s something of a good news/bad news situation.
The good news is that Slumber Party Massacre II is really crazy and really fun. The bad news is that part 3 is not. Picking up the subversive campiness of where Amy Holden Jones’ original left off, Slumber Party Massacre II writer/director Deborah Brock dials up the weirdness and adds an abstract, hallucinatory bent to the first sequel. It’s bigger and stranger, more colorful and experimental; I’m reminded of the leap from Prom Night to Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II, except that the original Slumber Party Massacre is a better movie than Prom Night.

We open with, big surprise, the last requisite murder of the season. At first, we think it’s a standard scene of domestic intranquility. But wait, it’s a play within a crime drama within a lesbian show. That prop gun was loaded with real bullets. And good thing it was because now we have a reason to visit with our favorite medical examiner and homicide detective.
Back at the Isles Estate, Det. Jane Rizzoli is there because Det. Jane Rizzoli is always at Dr. Maura Isles’ house. This time they’re playing with what appears to be bones and wires. Kinky. But then even kinkier Maura shows off her new “Al Fresco Lunch Tray Pants” to Jane. They have a Velcro apron that turns into, well, a lunch tray. Jane will definitely be dining in tonight. She’ll start by bobbing for apples.

"No More Drama In My Life" featured nothing but drama for both Jane and Maura - and things only look like they'll get more complicated next season...
Maura's New Family…if you can call it that. I'm really torn over what to feel about Dr. Hope Martin.
I couldn't imagine the emotional turmoil of being told your baby died, only to find out decades later that wasn't the case. Knowing you've lost all of that time with your own child must be devastating.
But it's been a long time since we've seen Hope. Her last appearance was in "Money Maker", which was about half way through the Rizzoli & Isles season 3 summer run.
So when she finally waltzed back in to Maura's life after having said she never wanted to see her again and asked for her kidney, it was hard not to feel what Jane did when she told Maura in this Rizzoli & Isles quote.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year — except for TV. During a large part of December, our TV options are as disappointing as coal in a stocking, as several shows hibernate until January.
We here at ScottFeinberg.com don’t want you to be without entertainment as you anxiously await the return of your favorite series (especially with in-laws visiting!), so here are seven hidden gems to check out this winter hiatus:
7. ABC’s Nashville catch-up (Jan. 2 at 10 p.m. Est)
I just had to sneak this one onto the list. Although Nashville isn’t taking the stage again until Jan. 9, ABC is offering fans an opportunity to catch up on all the drama, tunes and steamy romances.
“Nashville: The Whole Story” will highlight the intersecting tales of country legend Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) and rising star Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) as they...

In the 80s, rock music and horror movies went together like acid washed jeans and feathered hair. The trouble is, even though many horror movies had awesome rock soundtracks, the movies that specifically featured rock musician characters as heroes or villains varied wildly in quality. Although the rock horror movie has mostly gone the way of the 80s, I’m not sure any other type of music will ever have such a successful love affair with horror. I can’t picture people turning up for a movie called Pop Divas of the Apocalypse, or Death by Dubstep, or even Bloody Pit of Techno Bastards. But what do I know? I’m still stuck in the 80s. Here are 10 of the movies that are stuck with me.

"Throwing Down the Gauntlet" provided layers of guilt coupled with plenty of humor to make for an entertaining, if not perfect, Rizzoli & Isles.
A blast from her past. Maura's search for her biological mother made for a tearful reunion, but it was a one sided affair. The meeting of Maura Isles and Dr. Hope Martin was memorable partly because - as Sharon Lawrence mentions in this exclusive interview - their resemblance is remarkable.
But normally stoic, rational Maura was buffeted from tears to elation and back again as she worked through the highs and low of this reunion. One moment she's thrilled to meet the brilliant, compassionate woman with whom she shares her DNA and the next she's devastated when Hope refers to Maura's father as evil. Ouch. It's hard not to take that personally.

Tuesday's episode of Rizzoli & Isles will feature a case of mistaken identity, but for Maura, it's a case of learning her identity.
For the first time in her life, Maura (Sasha Alexander) will come face-to-face with her birth mother Dr. Hope Martin (guest star Sharon Lawrence), but this is no simple meet-up for coffee. How can it be when Hope doesn't even know that her daughter is alive? Lest we forget, Maura's crime boss father Paddy (John Doman), who feared that his father/mob honcho would kill Maura, asked Constance (Jacqueline Bisset) to adopt his baby girl and told everyone — including Hope — that Maura had died during birth.
So how do Maura and Hope finally reconnect? Does their reunion go swimmingly? We caught up with Lawrence to see what's in store...

In this TV Fanatic interview, guest star Sharon Lawrence talks about the mystery behind Dr. Hope Martin and what drew her to the role on Rizzoli & Isles.

Were you already a fan of Rizzoli & Isles? What attracted you to playing a role on the show?

Next Tuesday Shout! Factory unleashes yet another winning package that we never thought we'd see. That's right, kids. The Slumber Party Massacre collection is heading our way, and we have a look at it for you!
From the Press Release:
Stay up all night with the films that put a new twist on the slasher genre. Along with Halloween (1978), Friday the 13th (1980) and Prom Night (1980), Slumber Party Massacre (1982) helped define the slasher film ethos of the 1980s. Put together by first-time director Amy Holden from a script, titled “Don’t Open the Door," by feminist author Rita Mae Brown (Rubyfruit Jungle), the film was an immediate hit for Roger Corman's New World Pictures, eventually spawning two sequels.
Here, for the first time, all three Slumber Party Massacres are brought together in one DVD set, due to drill its way into your heart on October 5, 2010 from Shout! Factory, in association with New Horizons Picture Corporation.
