Heaven added a touch of glamor on Sunday as Kate O'Mara passed away after a brief illness at the age of 74.
According to her rep Phil Belfield, the "Dynasty" star was in southern England at a nursing home when she passed.
Though she later appeared on "Absolutely Fabulous" and the British soap "Triangle," she's best remembered for playing Cassandra "Caress" Morrell on "Dynasty."
In the hit soap opera Joan Collins played her sister, but in real life Kate is survived by her sister, actress Belinda Carroll.

British actress Kate O'Mara, best known for her role on the 1980s soap opera Dynasty, died Sunday at the age of 74, her agent said. Phil Belfield said O'Mara died in a nursing home in southern England after a short illness. The actress, who began her television career in the 1960s, became a household name for playing Cassandra "Caress" Morrell, sister to Joan Collins' Alexis Colby, on Dynasty. In Britain she is often remembered for her role in Triangle - a soap opera set aboard a North Sea ferry that is often cited as the worst piece of British television.

The daughter of actress Hazel Bainbridge and Raf flying instructor John F Carroll, O'Mara followed a stint at boarding school with enrolment at art school, before achieving her goal of becoming a full-time actress.
Making her stage debut in a production of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice in 1963, O'Mara soon moved into the popular world of television. Throughout the '60s, she appeared in such iconic series as Danger Man, The Champions, The Saint, The Avengers and Z-Cars.

In response to the Internet backlash against transgender Chaz Bono’s decision to join the season 13 cast of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, attorney Gloria Allred has joined Robin Tyler, executive director of the Equality Campaign, and Lgbt activist and comedian Belinda Carroll to co-chair a viewing party in Los Angeles on Sept. 19 to watch Chaz perform. Allred was the one who decided to add a dance element to the event, she said at a news conference this morning. “I look forward to dancing on that evening with any transitioned male or female who invites me to dance,” she said.
