- Stage debut 1877. Studied at the old Royal Theatre's drama school 1878-1880. Premiere actress at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in 1886. Toured in Russia with Coquelin 1891-1893. Worked in Paris at Théâtre Vaudeville 1893-1894, and then from 1894 and onwards in Sweden again.
- Had one son; Gustaf Herman Hedlund (b. 1880).
- Although she was one of the most popular Swedish comediennes on stage 1880s-1920s, she made only one appearance on-screen; in silent film The Saga of Gösta Berling (1924) as the meddlesome and plotting Countess Märta Dohna; the mother-in-law of Greta Garbo's character in the film.
