Jean-Pierre Coffe was born on March 24, 1938 in Lunéville, Meurthe-et-Moselle, France. He was an actor and writer, known for Noël et les garçons (2000), Violette (1978) and Swann in Love (1984). He died on March 29, 2016 in Lanneray, Eure-et-Loir, France.
Former restaurant owner, he became famous for his direct opinions on the bad food that could be bought in France. He wrote about 60 books on cooking and gardening. His last one 'Une vie de Coffe' is his autobiography.
