- Lorraine began her career at age three. Her family came to the United States from Montreal, Canada and were relatives of Sir Wilfrid Laurier, Prime Minister of Canada. In 1939 Billy Rose selected her to be a chorus girl in the First World's Fair. Later she performed in nightclubs as a song and dance girl. She wrote and performed skits. Her most famous skit was an impersonation of Mae West. She appeared on the Phil Donahue show in the 80s and did her skit. The audience couldn't stop laughing and clapping.
