- Brenda Cowling was born on April 23, 1925 in Islington, London, England, UK. She was an actress, known for Octopussy (1983), You Rang, M'Lord? (1988) and Pink Floyd: The Wall (1982). She died on October 2, 2010 in Denville Hall, Northwood, London, England, UK.
- Attended RADA in the 1940s, where she was a classmate of Warren Mitchell and Jimmy Perry. Cowling would later make guest appearances in sitcoms co-written by Perry: Dad's Army (1968), It Ain't Half Hot Mum (1974) and Hi-de-Hi! (1980). She then got a regular role in a Perry sitcom when she played Mrs. Lipton in You Rang, M'Lord? (1988).
