Last year, Spider One – the frontman of Powerman 5000 and the brother of fellow musician/filmmaker Rob Zombie – made his feature directorial debut with the horror anthology Allegoria. In April, his second feature – a horror film called Bury the Bride – was released through the Tubi streaming service. Now The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Spider One is about to go into production on his third horror film… and this one, titled Little Bites, is being executive produced by Cher!
Written and directed by Spider One, Little Bites centers on Mindy, a young widow and mother who tries to protect her daughter Alice from a flesh eating monster named Agyar. Mindy has been secretly sacrificing her own life by allowing the creature to feast on her body as she keeps Alice hidden away at her grandmother’s house.

Spider One is headed back into the director’s chair with Little Bites, a new horror movie being produced by mother-and-son duo Cher and Chaz Bono.
The Hollywood Reporter first broke the news today, also announcing that horror icons Heather Langenkamp, Barbara Crampton, and Bonnie Aarons (The Nun) will star.
Krsy Fox will also star in Little Bites, which starts production later this month. Spider One and Fox’s OneFox Productions will produce the film.

Bury the Bride, which recently debuted as a Tubi Original, is the second film from director Spider One and co-writer Krsy Fox after last year’s Allegoria. Spider One, for those not into the industrial metal scene, is the singer and only consistent member of the band Powerman 5000; and probably more important to his expansion into filmmaking, he’s Rob Zombie’s younger brother.
And Bury the Bride certainly opens like one of his brother’s films as credits playing over an old-timey love song give way to green-tinted footage of a woman hacking at someone or something just out of sight. And then to a group of women talking about the dick size of someone’s fiance while another tries, and loudly announces her failure,...

A timid actress, a tortured painter, a pretentious writer, a psychotic sculptor and a rock band all become entangled when their insecurities manifest themselves into monsters and ghouls.
Have you ever seen a movie that bored you to tears so much so that you wished you could send a bill to the writer and director for wasting so much of your hard-earned, precious free time? Well, that’s happened to me many times throughout the course of my life, and this year has seen plenty of those films as well. But to be honest with you, it seemed as if those extremely boring and awful movies were finally coming to an end.
And then, I saw Allegoria.

Spider One, the infamous founder of Powerman 5000, has directed his first music video. It's for "Kiss Me Kill Me" by the Los Angeles-based band Knee High Fox, and you can see it right here.
Spider One is the brother of rock star/director Rob Zombie, and with this video he tries his hand at the horror genre, where Zombie has done most of his work. The video for "Kiss Me Kill Me" stars Christine Connolly, who fronts the band.
Additionally, Simon Nagel plays bass, Matt Hankle is the drummer, and Neal Tiemann plays guitar for Knee High Fox. Although this is his first directorial attempt, Spider One previously produced the show "Death Valley" for MTV.
Enjoy the video in its entirety below with the gorgeous Ms. Connolly, clad in a cheerleader's outfit, being terrorized by a number of psycho killers. It's a fun, three-minute revenge-fueled romp. And for more,...

Taking place the evening of May 27 in conjunction with the release of their blistering new album Builders of the Future, Powerman 5000 will be wrapping up the American leg of their world tour (before taking off to Europe to play the largest festivals that continent has to offer) with an up-close and entirely personal live performance at the infamous Viper Room (8852 West Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA).
With the show expected to sell out in mere hours (at the time of this writing), Powerman 5000 singer Spider One and company (Richard Jazmin, Nick Quijano,...

We gave you a preview of the haunts at Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare, and Dread Central ventured back out to the Fairplex in Pomona, CA, for the red carpet and opening night festivities.
The black t-shirt crowd came out in full force along with several celebrities from the music and film industry for a night of mazing and music in a dark carnival set-up. Among the familiar faces were Devil’s Rejects actor Lew Temple, Powerman 5000’s Spider One and, oddly enough, personalities from the Food Network’s "Cupcake Wars," who served us gory versions of vegan cupcakes (!).
First is the Lords of Salem maze, a total blackout sensory deprivation experience where we were forced to traverse a maze with black bags over our heads. The signature music track from “The Lords” blared throughout while shifting floors and electric shock-walls keep you in your toes. Some found it terrifying,...

As you may know, musical pioneer Al Jourgensen has officially closed the book on his legendary industrial-metal band Ministry, sending them out in style with their excellent final album From Beer to Eternity (check out our review here), followed by his eye-opening autobiography Ministry: The Lost Gospels. But Uncle Al ain't settling down just yet. For his next creative endeavor, Jourgensen chose to explore the same themes he's tackled in his music for three decades... but this time, in the guise of a comic book antihero with musical super-powers. Ministry: The Devil's Chord – The Chronicles of Alien F. Jourgensen is a comic series with a unique concept: each of the thirteen issues will be based on one of Ministry's albums – including classics like The Land of Rape and Honey, The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, Psalm 69, Filth Pig, Rio Grande Blood, The Last Sucker, and Relapse. The overall...

Last month we told you about Rob Zombie's Great American Nightmare, a massive music-and-horror event kicking off this October. At the time we only had a partial list of participating bands, but as of now the full performance lineup and schedule (with one notable exception) has been posted to the official event site. Rob and his band will be headlining act the closing night festivities, with hit rockers Eagles of Death Metal, gothic icons 45 Grave and industrial rock unit Powerman 5000 (featuring FEARnet's very own Spider One) supporting. Another FEARnet fave, Motionless in White, will be playing on October 26th. The Great American Nightmare runs every Thursday through Sunday from October 10th to November 2nd at FEARplex in Pomona, CA, and the schedule is mostly broken down by genre: alternative rock on Thursdays, Edm on Fridays, hard rock & metal on Saturdays, and Latin-focused artists on Sundays. Here's the complete lineup: Thursday,...

Last week we caught up with Powerman 5000 frontman Spider One to chat about his latest film project, the horror-comedy web series "My Wife Is a Demon," as well as the next Powerman 5000 album and more!
Brother to musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie, Spider One burst onto the industrial heavy metal music scene in 1999 with the successful release of the Powerman 5000 album Tonight the Stars Revolt! (the album contained the memorable single "When Worlds Collide" and would go on to sell more than a million copies). He then flexed his film muscles in 2011 with "Death Valley", the horror-comedy mockumentary broadcast by MTV (and now available on Netflix), which he conceived and co-executive produced. With Powerman 5000 prepping to release a new album and embark on a subsequent world tour in the coming months, the vocalist riffed on that with us as well as his web series "My Wife...

Director: Drew Daywalt.
Writers: Spider One, Eric Weinberg, Curtis Gwinn, and David A. Weinstein.
"Death Valley" is a welcome addition to the small screen community of horror comedies. Its style is almost like "Seinfeld," a show about nothing, and where this show takes its inspiration from is almost like "Cops." Viewers are riding along in the backseat to witness what the Lapd Undead Task Force does throughout the day.
Cameras are supposed to follow two teams as they deal with vampires, werewolves and zombies that have decided to take up residence in the San Fernando Valley. No explanation is required for these appearances, and for the most part, the citizens have learned to deal with it. The authorities simply organized a special strike force to handle these beasts as though they are another category of criminals. While these officers will not last a moment in an actual police force (they're...
