Fredi ‘Kruga’ Nwaka writes and directs his feature debut, The Living Dead, a British movie about a robbery that goes very wrong, resulting in five criminals taking shelter from the police in a castle. This turns out to be a poor idea as they find themselves in a haunting situation.
A comedy-horror with crime on the top, this is a strange film when it comes to the tone. It took me a good few minutes to even begin to get used to the delivery of dialogue and the over-the-top style. It feels like an amateur play, or a late-night television British B-movie. Poor acting, awful dialogue, and a story that, while teetering on entertaining once in a while, tends to fall flat 99% of the time. This was a really disappointing film, at the end of the day,...

Big Brother is just around the corner - we have an eye, a theme and a launch date! But while we're excited about that, it also means Celebrity Big Brother is drawing ever closer, so our thoughts naturally turned to who might be heading into the house this summer.

Janice Dickinson
Who? "The world's first supermodel", Janice used to be a very outspoken judge on America's Next Top Model. She's been on I'm a Celebrity, and also hit the headlines recently after alleging that Bill Cosby sexually assaulted her.

Paul Danan has signed up for 'Celebrity Big Brother'. The former 'Hollyoaks' actor - who was a big hit on ITV's 'Celebrity Love Island' in 2005 and 2006 - has reportedly agreed to enter the reality show house next month. A source said: ''Paul has been the talk of the 'CBB' team since 'Love Island' returned to our screens. ''While he is not as crazy as he was back in 2005, producers hope he will bring some mischief into the house.'' The 37-year-old star was nicknamed ''Dangerous Danan'' following his two stints on the original 'Love Island', which saw him fall ''in love''...

Love Island won't be Love Island without original love god Lee Sharpe and accidental comedian Paul Danan... were our first thoughts as the return of the decade-old dating show was announced.
But we were wrong. So very wrong.
Love Island 2015: Did Max and Jess deserve to win?
For six solid weeks, we were hooked on the tears and drama as romantic relationships formed and drastically unravelled. We cringed (and sniggered) at the unashamed sexual antics, the accompanying sound effects and dodgy post-coital lines - "my vagina feels like it's just been hit by a train" - which often took place unapologetically in the communal bedroom.
How we were entertained as desperate contestants attempted to couple up with anybody available just to stay on the show. What car crash television gold we were delivered when producers decided to bring in a contestant's spurned and bitter ex.
We saw grown men...

Love Islander Max Morley hurls a deckchair in anger after taking part in the lie detector test on tonight's show.
Max - who recently re-coupled with Jess Hayes - is asked during the test whether he is happy in a couple with the red-haired glamour model.
He answers "yes", but the computer result is 'lie', and Jess doesn't seem too happy.
When he's asked the rather controversial question, "Would you prefer Naomi to still be in the villa?", the former professional cricketer shocks fellow islanders as he replies with a surprising "yes".
Max had originally dumped Jess for former islander Naomi Ball. On last night's episode, and after a successful first date, he and Jess slept together in the notorious White Room.
When he's asked "Would you have rather been in the White Room with Naomi over Jess?", and replies with an affirming "no", the computer responds with a resounding "lie".

There's tears and tantrums from the boys as they take a lie detector test on tonight's episode of Love Island.
Jon Clark - who's been coupled with Hannah Elizabeth since day one - goes off to the pod first to take the test.
Lauren Richardson is asking the questions, and begins the grilling by asking Jon: "Do you see a future for you and Hannah outside the villa?"
A confident Jon answers "yes", and the computer reveals he was telling the truth.
It's all going swimmingly with the first set of questions, all until Lauren asks: "Do you believe Hannah loves you?"
After a slight delay, Jon eventually answers "yes".
As Hannah watches on the monitor from another room, she comments: "There was a bit of a doubt there."
The result comes up as a "lie", and a panicked Jon immediately protests: "I do believe she loves me, I do know that,...

Love Islanders Jess Hayes and Max Morley do their walk of shame back to the villa after their night of passion in the White Room on tonight's show (July 9).
The couple - who enjoyed a successful horse-riding date during yesterday's episode - return to cheers and rapturous applause from fellow islanders.
Max jokingly declares: "I am no longer a virgin."
A bold Josh Ritchie then asks him how long he lasted, to which Max replies: "Let's just say I had to go a second time."
Reflecting on the other islanders in the Beach Hut later on, Max says: "It was like walking into a hyena's den."
About Jess, he enthuses: "The more time I'm spending with her, the more I'm starting to really, really like her."
Love Island alumnus Paul Danan will be returning to tonight's live show with host Caroline Flack to offer his opinions on all the remaining contestants.

ITV2 have finally answered our requests - original Celebrity Love Islander Paul Danan will be returning on tonight's live show.
The 36-year-old former Hollyoaks star appeared on the first ever celebrity edition of the series back in 2005, which saw him compete against eventual winners Jayne Middlemiss and Fran Cosgrave.
Danan returned to the show a year later, and spent the majority of his time tearfully fighting with or really fancying former model Sophie Anderton.
After one memorable blow-out, he was even escorted off set by security after he discovered that fellow celebrity contestants had all pretended that Anderton really liked him when in fact she just wanted to be friends. Or enemies.
And who can forget her somewhat dismissive observation: "You can do sit-ups?"
Danan also had some heated exchanges with retired basketball star Dennis Rodman and another former Hollyoaks actor, Lee Otway, during his time on the show.

After hearing the announcement that Calum Best would be returning to his spiritual home of Love Island - our immediate reaction was: 'But what about his accidental comedic sidekick Paul Danan?!'

Paul appears eager to head back to the villa to recapture the tears, terrible rapping and Sophie Anderton back-stabbing from the celebrity edition of the show.

Remember the first ever Love Island with its seemingly clueless single celebrities constantly bickering on a tumultuous and stormy (literally and metaphorically) Fijian island?
Even the show's co-hosts Kelly Brook and Patrick Kielty were baying for one another's blood when Kielty decided to declare during one live show that Brook had previously dated contestant Paul Danan.
Other memorable highlights included Abi Titmuss becoming more and more enraged as Fran Cosgrave repeatedly referred to her as Vanessa Feltz, swiftly followed by a tipsy and uncouth Rebecca Loos letting rip.
The series aired almost exactly a decade ago, so we found ourselves wondering - whatever happened to eventual winner Jayne Middlemiss? And the Love Island love god that was Lee Sharpe?
As the new non-celebrity series currently enjoys its ITV2 revival, we find out what the 12 star contestants have gone on to do since their 2005 stint below:

Ever since we found out that Love Island was coming back for a brand new series, only one name has been on our lips - Paul Danan.

The former child actor's pizza-themed Velvet Underground tribute band is just the latest in his long line of musical endeavours. Here's a rundown of the finest moments
• Macaulay Culkin forms pizza-themed Velvet Underground tribute band
There's an old adage that "all actors secretly want to be rock stars, and all rock stars wish they could act". I say "an old adage", what I actually mean is I heard it once and wanted to reference it but couldn't find the quote. This is presumably how all aphorisms are born.
Regardless, examples of the transition are numerous: Russell Crowe has his band 30 Odd Foot of Grunts, for which you can create your own rhyming slang joke; Joe Pesci once recorded a rap track, which is every bit what you're imagining it's like; and Billy Bob Thornton has released at least four LPs specifically targeted at a demographic of vest and tobacco-spitting enthusiasts.

On Monday night, E4 launched a new dating show that involved fairytale fancy dress, power ballad singing and catapults.
My Little Princess is the latest in a long history of bonkers dating shows that have made it to the small screen and in tribute to the TV commissioners who considered them wise ideas and in any way romantic, we've collected together our 15 personal favourites.
My Little Princess
Men dressed as princes, who must impress an evil king to secure a date with his daughter. Standard. Throw in lots of mud, talking horses, power ballad sing-offs and men being thrown off bridges. Obviously. My Little Princess blends Tool Academy and Takeshi's Castle to make the ultimate dumb dating show.
Singled Out
The classic MTV series hosted by Chris Hardwick and Jenny McCarthy in the Us featured a wild audience of contestants, who looked like they'd been dragged in from a booze-laden Spring Break wet T-shirt contest.

Through a set of rather surreal circumstances, I find myself and three other bloggers interviewing Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, not within the plush rooms of Claridge’s Hotel, but rather inside an Rv parked on the street behind it. Pegg and Frost are here to talk about Paul, their latest film, which sees them embarking on a road trip across the USA with a foul-mouthed alien in tow. Pegg and Frost were genuinely lovely people and were great interviewees, more than willing to tell us everything they could and also very, very funny.
Was Paul named after any Paul in particular?
Pegg: No. The idea was – we were just spit-balling, it was literally like, ‘What are we going to do today? The weather’s nice’ and we were like, ‘Okay, yeah, he’s an alien and what if his name’s Paul?’ and, you know, it was the most...

Sooo back to Claridge’s again. Or so I thought… I turned up, checked in, grabbed a pastry and some probably pretty expensive still water and took my seat. We got the call, tooled up and followed the PR lady out of the room. And down the stairs. And out the front door. And ‘round the back. Was she going to give us all a good kicking and nick our notebooks? Thankfully, no. Hidden behind Claridge’s, and taking up three and a bit parking spaces, was a massive Rv – just like the one, actually probably bigger than the one in the movie.
Excited to see the boys, I scrambled up the stairs to find Simon Pegg in the driving seat and Nick Frost on a little sofa-y thing behind him. I shook their hands and let them know how cool I thought it was to meet them. Pegg told...

Patrick Kielty has admitted that he enjoyed presenting ITV’s Celebrity Love Island, despite the fact that it damaged his presenting career.
The Irish comedian fronted the two series of the show in 2005 and 2006 alongside Kelly Brook and Fearne Cotton, he reportedly feuded with Brook the whole way through seres one.
Kielty told Metro: “I had fun and got paid. It was in Fiji and we had a great time. We just had to go in and watch Paul Danan and Sophie Anderton have meltdowns and spent the rest of the day on the beach.”
On whether fronting the show affected his career he added: “Of course it does. Generally if you’re in a bad show you don’t get work and if you’re in a good show you do. I came home with my tan and wondered why the phone wasn’t ringing. Luckily it didn’t last too long.

Former Hollyoaks actor Paul Danan has admitted that reality TV has "f**ked up" his acting career. Danan, who played Sol Patrick on the Channel 4 soap between 1997 and 2000, said that casting directors have refused to consider him after he appeared on ITV's Celebrity Love Island in 2005. "I spent three years auditioning in La and never got my big break, which is when I agreed to do Love Island," he told Love It magazine. "Instead of thinking 'this might f**k up my acting career', I thought 'yes, of course I'll do it!' For several weeks I had a great time, albeit with loads of ups and downs. I was plied with booze by producers, I'd get crazy or angry because I was frustrated. "I didn't think my fellow celebrities liked me, and I became paranoid. I (more)...

Jack Whitehall has said that he finds it difficult to be offended by what he sees on TV. The comedian is co-host of Channel 4's topical news programme the TNT Show, which has drawn criticism for its 'Gilbert's Special Report' sketch. The regular feature uses disabled actors in intentionally botched interviews with unaware celebrities, including the Cheeky Girls and Paul Danan. Whitehall told Digital Spy: "It's not my segment and I didn't really have anything to do with it, filming or conception. But, there are things that people get offended by on TV and I think that it's just so subjective. "As a comic my threshold for offence (more)...
