"I whipped up a kick ass divorce mix playlist for ya." Gravitas Ventures has debuted an official trailer for Before/During/After, an indie drama written by and starring Finnerty Steeves. The film earned good festival buzz taking home Dances With Films' "Industry Choice Award", Greenpoint Film Festival's "Best of the Fest" award, San Diego's "Best Ensemble Cast" honor, Naples' "Programmers Choice Award", and an exclusive drive-in showing at the RiverRun Film Festival. This sharp-witted dramedy studies a middle-aged NYC theatre actress suddenly forced to figure out the kind of person she wants to portray in real life when her marriage comes to an end after she catches her husband cheating. In addition to Steeves, this also stars Jeremy Davidson, John Pankow, Kristine Sutherland, Richard Masur, Michael Emerson, and Deborah Rush. This looks rather amusing and witty, a cathartic film all about figuring out what to do now. Here's the trailer (+ poster...

Gotham, Season 1, Episode 5, “Viper”
Written by Rebecca Perry Cutter
Directed by Tim Hunter
Airs Mondays at 8pm Et on Fox
Gotham has done fairly well, so far, at integrating its cases of the week with its overarching storyline, with last week’s “Arkham” being one of the most momentous episodes yet in moving the season narrative forward, but with “Viper”, the tandem plots fail to blend together with the same consistency. The campy concept of the Viper drug, which gives super strength to its victims before destroying their bone density, could’ve worked if only the writers had decided not to display the victims’ feats of strength with such poorly executed and cartoonish special effects. What Gotham has done well in previous episodes is present a campy idea with a truly gritty noir tone, but the way that these super powered victims are realized, they look more like they belong...

Philip and Elizabeth are coming close to a crossroads when faced with the reality that their kids could be killed as a result of their criminal activities in "Comrades," the second season premiere of The Americans.
Philip (Matthew Rhys) begins the episode by pulling a standard undercover operation, resulting in the death of two Afghans at his hands. The standard op, however, did not go entirely smoothly. In a moment of panic, Philip also shot an innocent busboy after his disguise was destroyed and his face was in plain sight. As usual on Army Wives, Claudia Joy got great news about her own career as Michael received bad news about his. She wasn't even able to tell him she passed her bar before he closed the door on her with his own news about his former pleeb receiving the commanding post at West Point.
Also as usual, he was upset with her for not sharing her news with him, for treating him with kid gloves. These two spend far too much time skirting each other's feelings. When it's all said and done, Michael somehow makes Claudia feel silly no matter what choice she makes.
Michael always manages to seem so together, but this week we saw the toll recent events have taken upon him. He's practically begging for someone to show him the way to his future. Talking with a superior may have been the worse decision he could have made,...

“We are four months along. So balancing career and family is becoming increasingly challenging for me … and in five months we are going to have three kids under the age of 2. We are in happy shock about it.

Married life is full of challenges, but being married to a soldier comes with a whole other set of struggles. Lifetime Channel’s original series Army Wives tries to give a glimpse into life on a military base. The show follows four army wives and an army husband in their day-to-day lives. All of them have children and plenty to do, and their spouse’s jobs could change everything on a moment’s notice. While Army Wives is hardly the new Mash, they should be admired for trying to tell these families’ stories, and I think that viewers will find that this show has a bit more meat than the usual Lifetime Channel fare.
Army Wives follows the lives of Claudia Joy Holden (Kim Delaney), Denise Sherwood (Catherine Bell), Roxy LeBlanc (Sally Pressman), Pamela Moran (Brigid Brannagh), and Roland Burton (Sterling K. Brown) and their respective spouses Michael Holden (Brian McNamara...

We know a lot of you were troubled by Scotty's (played by Luke MacFarlane) admission that he cheated on Kevin (Matthew Rhys) in the last episode of "Brothers & Sisters." We have to admit it hit us pretty hard, too. How could you, Scotty?
In the next episode, Scotty will get the fallout from his confession as Kevin has a hard time dealing with it and the rest of the family find out. It's especially hard for Kevin, because of his own father's infidelities - which we all know pretty much made "Brothers & Sisters" possible. After all, this all started, really, with the sins of the father coming back to haunt the Walker family.
Also in the next episode, Kitty (Calista Flockhart) and Jack (Jeremy Davidson) get more serious. His newly revived passion for L.A. and a possible return to his former career in investment banking worries her,...

After watching Sunday's (Oct. 17) episode of "Brothers & Sisters," be prepared to feel a bit down as Emily VanCamp says goodbye to the show.
We weren't sure how the writers would pull it off. How could they sell their millions of viewers on a storyline that saw Rebecca say goodbye with so much still so unsettled in her life?
And before watching the episode, it felt almost cruel for the producers to let her go after all that we've (and the Walkers) have gone through to accept her into the mix.
The bright side is we don't think you'll be disappointed. The show has definitely pulled it off. Somehow, they've made it so it makes good sense that she leaves. And with all the build up to her exit, that's quite a feat.
We have nothing but praise for Dave Annable (Justin) and Patricia Wettig's (Holly) performances in this episode.

Ryan Devlin is quickly becoming an ABC staple.
Already having scored roles on Grey’s Anatomy (as Mandy Moore’s husband) and Cougar Town (as Busy Philipps’ boyfriend), he's signed on for a part on Brothers & Sisters, too.
Devlin has been cast as a fun, smart, and precocious grad student in Kitty’s law class. Rumors suggest the former Mrs. McCallister takes a special interest in Devlin’s character.
This could be a serious thing, too. He's booked for at least four episodes of the ABC drama. Perhaps it just isn't meant to be with K's new handyman love interest Jeremy Davidson.
We'll have to wait and see, but more Devlin is always a good thing.

Zap2it got an early viewing of this Sunday's Oct. 10 episode of "Brothers & Sisters" and it was a quite good, as well as educational, hour.
We get a lot more details of what transpired during the one-year lapse between this season and the last. Plus, Emily VanCamp returns to wrap up Rebecca's storyline. The episode is called "Faking it," so we thought we'd give you a preview of why the episode earned that title.
Warning: Spoilers below!
Kitty (Calista Flockhart): Kitty is now living in her rented home at Ojai and trying to do things that take her out of her comfort zone. Then, she meets a local handyman, Jack (Jeremy Davidson), who detests the house renters in Ojai for being so pretentious. He rattles off several pet peeves that describe Kitty (including politicians), so she decides to create a totally new persona unlike herself. After all, handsome Jack may...

It has not been smooth sailing for Brothers & Sisters.
Changes abound this season, as they have for the first four, but the ship continues to sail. In a new interview, that ship's captain, show-runner David Marshall Grant, spoke about budget considerations, cast members coming and going, what we can expect this season.
Here's what we can expect beginning Sunday ...
On the many changes this summer: "Rob Lowe leaving was something he considered for a while last season, something we talked about, and was not a surprise for me in the least."
"In terms of Calista [Flockhart], she’s got the same deal as all the other actors this year and is excited and happy about having a great season without any diminished episodes."
"That said, there certainly were unexpected changes. Emily VanCamp is only coming back for 2-3 episodes, which is a change for us and of course losing Rob is a big deal for us.

Season Five of Brothers & Sisters picks up a year after Robert was killed (presumably), Holly was injured and Saul was revealed to be HIV positive. That we know.
What happened to the characters between then and when the show resumes September 26? That's been a mystery until now, but is starting to become clearer.
"I can tell you that the year brought a lot of changes," Brothers & Sisters executive producer David Marshall Grant says. "Obviously a year is going to do that."
"I think that we're taking things based on that accident. That's where it all started in terms of where we have to go back to and I think the premiere does that."
What happens to each character specifically? Let's break it down:
Nora: She tries to get out of the house and create a life that doesn't revolve around the kids. She gets a job as a florist. Of course,...

It's no secret that Season 5 of "Brothers & Sisters" doesn't pick up right after the massive car wreck that killed Robert (Rob Lowe) and injured Holly (Patricia Wettig). The premiere picks up a year later.
"I can tell you that the year has brought a lot of changes," executive producer David Marshall Grant tells Zap2it. "Obviously a year is going to do that. I think that we're taking things based on that accident, I mean that's where it all started for us in terms of where we have to go back to and I think the premiere does that."
Grant revealed to us what happens to each character in the year before the premiere and how it will affect them in Season 5:
Nora (Sally Field): She continues in the quest to get out of the house and create a life for herself that doesn't revolve around the kids.

First things first: yay, Elizabeth Burke is back! Without a green screen! How awesome is that? You know what else is awesome? A great guest cast: Joe Morton as Hughes’ boss and The Unit’s Max Martini (fresh off last night’s Lie To Me) as a U.S. Marshal. (Unfortunately, Tim Olyphant is nowhere to be found.)
It’s a typical morning in the Burke household, even for a Saturday: Peter and Elizabeth hardly have time to talk to each other because they’re too consumed with their jobs. He realizes this is insane, and decides they’re having a date night that night. Neal has plans, except they’re out of his radius, so he’s trying to convince Diana to escort him to no avail. Not too bad, right? Then the U.S. Marshals, led by a man named Deckard (Martini in his best tough-guy mode) turn up...

Brothers & Sisters' one-year flash-forward may be written off as a cheap gimmick by some, but there is serious upside - like glossing over a lot of really sad stuff!
In other words, we get to bypass Kitty grieving after the loss of Robert - we still think Robert's dead, despite what Gilles Marini says - and see her back in the game.
Enter Army Wives star Jeremy Davidson as Kitty’s first significant love interest since the tragic accident that (by all credible accounts) claimed her husband's life.
That was the Season 4 finale, however, and this is now. A full year later.
Jeremy Davidson is coming to Brothers & Sisters.
According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, who broke the story, the two will meet in Ojai, where Kitty has been holed up during her year of transition.

Plus Modern Family has lunch al fresco, Kitty gets a new hunk, and Warehouse 13 gets its flame on.
To totally rip off the comments from an earlier Meme: You, Producer, Put Down the Beloved Cartoon and Back Away Slowly. Seriously, this is so not cool, a live action/3d/CGI Bugs Bunny movie.
Unless you’ve got a really amazing memory, me saying the two Deathly Hallows movies are going to split at chapter 24 isn’t a spoiler. If you go to the link and find where in the story that is, I’m not responsible.
Ae Reader Boothy tipped me to Lgbt Lit Days, and as an added bonus he’s got a post included on Young Adult literature that he wrote for the two week event. Show some love!

Things are going to be plenty different when 'Brothers & Sisters' returns to the ABC lineup this fall. Not only will the show be minus regulars like Rob Lowe, Luke Grimes and Emily VanCamp, but thanks to the one-year flash forward the creators of the show have put together, Calista Flockhart's character will pass right by that pesky mourning period for her late husband (played by Lowe) and establish a new love interest.
The new man in her life will be 'Army Wives' actor Jeremy Davidson, according to Entertainment Weekly. Davidson, whose character hasn't been given a name yet, will appear in a multi-episode arc as a man Kitty first meets while she's living in Ojai during her year of transition.

Why should "Brothers & Sisters" mess with all the drama of grieving? Could it be that ABC has realized that they've put Calista Flockhart's character, Kitty, (and us for that matter) through enough sadness?
An ABC spokesperson confirms to Zap2it that "Army Wives" star, Jeremy Davidson, will play Kitty's rebound guy in a multi-episode arc. Lucky us!
"He's very different than Robert," executive producer David Marshall Grant tells EW, "And a very different guy than the kind of men Kitty's been with her whole life."
After the one year fast forward in Season 5, we'll meet up with Kitty after she has gone through all the phases of depression over losing Robert (Rob Lowe). Kitty has been hiding out at Ojai since Robert's death and meets Davidson's character there.
Davidson currently plays Chase Moran on Lifetime's "Army Wives." Before that he has appeared on "Law and Order" and "The Kill Point" on Starz.
