Pete Davidson is laying his comedy series Bupkis to rest ahead of its planned second season. Davidson says while the semi-autobiographical comedy has been a great experience, it’s also an emotionally taxing show to bring to life on screens.
Davidson said about the sunsetting of Bupkis, “I’ve always seen Bupkis as a window into my life, since it is so personal and about my struggles and family. After nearly a decade of my personal life being in the media I wanted a chance to tell my story my way,” Davidson told The Hollywood Reporter. “Of all the work I’ve ever done, Bupkis is by far what I’m most proud of. I am so grateful to Lorne Michaels and Broadway Video, Peacock, Universal Television and the amazing cast and writers for helping me create something honest, funny and heartfelt. I do also feel that this part of my life is finished.

Pete Davidson is known for many controversial things, apart from his successful comedic career. There have been many things said about the man in his personal life, but his comedy career so far has remained unaffected. Pete, or Peter Davidson, rose to popularity after his 2016 stint with his first special on Comedy Central at the age of 22. His brand new special, Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli, is now live on Netflix, and it is all about his childhood crushes and stalkers. Directed by Jason Orley, the special was released on January 9, 2024, and is one of the best specials to watch on the platform. There is no reference to why the special is called ‘Turbo Fonzarelli,’ because there is hardly any mention of the word in the entire 56-minute set. There is a lot to understand about Pete’s personality once the whole special comes to an end.

Lindsay Shookus, a producer on Saturday Night Live and head of its talent department, is leaving after 20 years.
Deadline understands that Shookus decided to leave the show ahead of this season given that it is essentially a rebuilding year with a number of key cast members such as Pete Davidson and Kate McKinnon leaving. She was offered a promotion but decided it was the right time to exit.
She has been with the venerable NBC late-night series for 20 years and 10 years as a producer. In that time, she has won six Emmys including an award for its 40th Anniversary special, which she played a pivotal role in.
Shookus started as assistant to Marci Klein, a producer and head of the talent department, in 2002 after graduating from college. She became an associate producer in 2008, a co-producer in 2010 and a producer in 2012. She is the head of the show’s talent department,...

Halina Reijn's "Bodies Bodies Bodies" is a wonderful late summer surprise that boasts an awesome ensemble turning on one another trying to figure out who's leaving a trail of dead bodies in their wake. The Gen Z-infused whodunnit is a very funny encapsulation of a toxic friend group reaching their breaking point, but amid all of Peter Davidson's fragile masculinity and pretty much anything that comes courtesy of Rachel Sennott, Reijn knows when to take this cursed get-together to some dark places.
The foundation of "Bodies Bodies Bodies" is built upon the hyper paranoia of not being able to trust someone you know, let alone a room full of your supposed best friends. I imagine if I was trapped in a mansion way up in the mountains that has no power, no wi-fi, and the cars are all dead, I would be pretty frightened too. Production designer April Lasky...
