Fox TV Studios is beefing up its scripted programming ranks with the appointments of Con Artists Prods. president Nancy Cotton as senior vp and Matt Loze as vp.
Both will report to David Madden, executive vp scripted programming.
"Nancy and Matt are both extraordinary executives and people I can't wait to work with," Madden said. "Nancy's creativity, energy and impeccable pedigree in the mainstream broadcast arena will definitely help this studio grow. Matt has a proven knack for unearthing and nurturing diverse, edgy filmmakers and writers."
At Fox TV Studios, Cotton will work alongside senior vp Marney Hochman. Lisa Demberg, who was senior vp scripted programming at the company for the past six years, is transitioning into a consulting role to spend more time with her daughter. She will focus on Fox TV Studios' made-for-TV movies.
For the past five years, Cotton was president of the TV division at Mel Gibson's Icon Prods., which in 2005 was rechristened Con Artists Prods.

Lifetime has given the green light to The Dive From Clausen's Pier, an original movie based on the best-selling novel by O. Henry Award winner Ann Packer. John Wierick (NBC's The Matthew Shepard Story) adapted the book, and veteran director Harry Winer is on board to direct. Dive centers on Carrie, whose fiance suffers severe head injures when he dives into shallow water during a Memorial Day picnic. Facing the fear of marrying a quadriplegic and pressure from her family and friends' expectations to do it, Carrie flees her hometown and starts a new life in New York. Casting is under way for the film, which hails from Con Artists Prods. -- the TV arm of Mel Gibson's Icon Prods. -- and Fox TV Studios. Brenda Friend (CBS' Joan of Arc) is exec producing with Icon's Bruce Davey and Nancy Cotton. Fox TV Studios' David Madden and Lisa Demberg will supervise for the production company.
