MarieAnna Dvorak
- Writer
- Director
- Actress
MarieAnna was born in Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic) to a mother
with strong religious beliefs. From an early age she entertained
audiences by reciting poetry from classical poets and acting in
theatrical plays. However, as an adult her career was severely hampered
by the communist regime where religion was prohibited and human rights
were meaningless.
In the USA she has moved behind the camera, securing financing for her first feature that was screened in Cannes and the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, and then distributed internationally. This more than anything, in her life, gave her huge personal and creative satisfaction. She is soon going to enter into pre-production on a PG rated film. She also pursues production of a political love story lifted from her own biography, charting her life in two contrasting regimes. Story theme is the heart and soul of an artistic work and what can be stronger than humanity and love.
