Meghan Markle has come under fire for declining her invitation to King Charles’ coronation. The Duchess of Sussex reportedly had reasons to miss the event other than the selected date, her son Archie’s birthday. According to a royal commentator, Meghan “could not stomach” the idea of “B-list seats” and “purse-lipped-in-laws” at the event. Here are the details.

However, Charles will reportedly honor his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, by wearing pieces specially crafted for her 1953 installation as queen of the United Kingdom.

On May 6, King Charles will officially take the throne following the passing of his beloved mother, Queen Elizabeth II. While many of the age-old traditions and rituals will be reinstated at Westminster Abbey, there will be a significant contrast to his late mother’s grandiose coronation.
Charles’ coronation is anticipated to be more austere and toned down, with fewer lavish embellishments. Keep reading to learn more about the four ways Charles’ ceremony will be simpler than his mother’s ceremony.
Then Prince Charles with his mother Queen Elizabeth II | Paul Edwards – Wpa Pool/Getty Images King Charles’ coronation will be a modest one
As part of a less lavish coronation, King Charles has allegedly limited his guest list to a mere 2,000 attendees. This is in stark contrast to his late mother’s coronation, which was attended by a staggering 8,250 guests. The stands for guests were even 11 tiers high, providing some context to the extravagant affair.

Gotham Season 1, Episode 21: ‘The Anvil or the Hammer’
Written by Jordan Harper
Directed by Paul Edwards
Aired Mondays at 8pm (Et) on Fox
The penultimate episode of Gotham superbly closes the Ogre arc and sets the table for what appears to be an exciting, grand season finale. The last couple of episodes have shown Gordon shaken and dead set on taking down the serial killer the Ogre, as he has threatened to victimize his loved one. The discovery that the loved one in question is his former fiancé only makes him more resolute in his undertaking. This episode does an excellent job at showing how determined Gordon is and the wear it takes on him, with Leslie and Bullock reminding him that he needs to take a break before he burns out, but Gordon doesn’t let up. Ben McKenzie is in top form in this episode, as he...

Sleepy Hollow, Season 2, Episode 18, “Tempus Fugit”
Written by Mark Goffman
Directed by Paul Edwards
Airs Mondays at 9pm (Et) on Fox
It’s hard to regard Sleepy Hollow’s second season as anything other than a disappointment. While it never crossed the threshold into being a bad show, what was once the most loopy and good-humored offering on broadcast television transformed into something that was frequently a chore to watch. There was no major single flaw in the series, but multiple bad decisions that were allowed to fester and detract from the things the show did well. Irving’s constantly wavering allegiances and relevance, the introduction of a character no one particularly liked in Hawley, a Moloch plan that lacked the complexity of earlier efforts, and pushing Katrina down a flight of misguided plots—all of these gave the feeling that Sleepy Hollow no longer had a steady hand behind the wheel,...

Witch, watch out.
It’s advice Katrina Crane might want to heed as Sleepy Hollow heads into its Season 2 finale (Monday, 9/8c). Because, as star Tom Mison tells TVLine, Ichabod’s done being Capt. Nice Guy.
He’s got grounds: Mrs. Crane repeatedly tried to kill her husband and his fellow Witness in last week’s episode, and then sucked Abbie back into the 18th century with her.

After that, Mison says, Crane is done asking politely.
“I didn’t want Ichabod to plead with [Katrina],” he says.

Sleepy Hollow, Season 2, Episode 15, “Spellcaster”
Written by Albert Kim
Directed by Paul Edwards
Airs Mondays at 9pm (Et) on Fox
The overarching Sleepy Hollow narrative has been treading water since the events of “The Akeda,” the show unable to find a hook in the wake of Moloch’s death. For the past few episodes events have gone through a series of monsters of the week, the characters as adrift as the writers as they spend their time asking some fairly meta questions about what their place in the world is. It hasn’t been a bad stretch of episodes—in fact, on balance the show’s felt more entertaining than it did in the first half of the season—but a sense of direction has been keenly missed. “Spellcaster” takes steps to remedy that deficit, setting things in motion for the final trio of season two episodes.

Gotham appears to be arranging its pieces on the board for a big confrontation. Here's Rob's review of this week's episode...
This review contains spoilers.
1.8 The Mask
Holy job interview fight club, Batman! This week’s Gotham episode certainly had a lot of character-based material to enjoy, but failed to live up to the heady heights of last Monday’s Penguin’s Umbrella on several other levels.
We all wear masks, metaphorically speaking, and that was the running theme throughout this week’s episode. ‘Who’s hiding behind what mask, and whose mask is beginning to fall?’ we were asked to consider, with some interesting results.
We dug a little deeper into Ben McKenzie’s Jim Gordon this week, with his years in the army and his lust for justice leading to some delicate prodding around basic hero-analysing questions: Is Jim a good man, or a killer? Is the good...

Abbie: “This is insane!”
Ichabod: “So much of my life can be classified under those auspices.”
- Sleepy Hollow, “The Kindred
It’s a rare show that can inspire fits of giggles simply by reading an episode description, and “The Kindred” certainly meets that bill: “Ichabod Crane concocts a daring plan to rescue his wife from the Headless Horseman by resurrecting a Frankenstein-like monster created by Benjamin Franklin.” It’s a sentence that reads like a pitch for a Pride and Prejudice and Zombies knockoff, rejected for being too absurd. And yet, not only does Sleepy Hollow embrace this idea for a story, they do so in a manner that makes the action plausible in the universe and turns it into fist-pumping excitement.

Lost was a landmark series for network television, a one-of-a-kind show that producers and executives are still trying, and failing, to recreate. It’s been ten years since it premiered, on September 22, 2004 (which, coincidentally, was the date of the crash of Oceanic 815). Rather than try to make a simple Top 10 Episodes list, which would induce nightmares of trying to rank drastically different installments, here are the best episodes from each of Lost’s six seasons, along with six runners up.

Junior drops it, and it explodes. He is really, really scared. Luckily, Julia just happens to have a box of matches in her pocket, and she leads them out of the labyrinthine tunnels. She asks him about his black eye, and he pins it on an unprovoked attack from Barbie. Julia doesn’t know if she believes him or not, but that night, she sees Barbie’s knuckles are bruised.

*spoiler alert. Director: Paul Edwards. Writer: Andrew Dabb. Cast: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, Lisa Chandler, Faustino Di Bauda, and Andrew Zachar. When a man's heart pops out like a Walter Lantz cartoon, just what is CW's latest episode of "Supernatural," "Hunteri Heroici" up to? In what may be the strangest episode so far, perhaps watching too many 'toons can distort reality. In this case, to look at real representations of cartoon violence can prove disturbingly gooey when the anvil drops. But for Fred Jones (Mike Farrell), no relation to the Scooby Doo character of the same name, he shows that he can manipulate the world around him if he so desires. For some people, watching cartoons provides a means of escapism. They inject humour into the dull everyday life of growing old. Jones' argument for their purpose is great. Writer Andrew Dabb has crafted a defining moment that...

Supernatural, Season 8, Episode 8: “Hunteri Heroici”
Written by Andrew Dabb
Directed by Paul A. Edwards
Airs Wednesdays at 9pm (Et) on CW
The return of Castiel from purgatory last week opened a new chapter in the eighth season of Supernatural; while the story of what happened to Castiel and Dean in purgatory was resolved, the looming question was what the angel would do now. A return to heaven was not an immediately feasible option for the angel, both because of what he had done with the purgatory souls in him, and because of Naomi, the angel who introduced herself at the end of last week, most likely having barred Castiel’s entry. Staying with the Winchesters, and going on hunts with them, thus seems like the most viable course of action for the angel, and this week explores the ramifications of that, adding another enjoyable episode to an already strong eighth season run.

In This Episode...
Castiel makes a startling announcement: he wants to be a hunter. Once Dean picks his jaw up off the floor, he agrees, and Castiel drives with them to Oklahoma for their next case. A man named Gary was meeting his girlfriend in the park when his heart literally exploded out of his chest, leaving a heart-shaped hole in his chest. It turns out the girl, Olivia, that Gary met was his mistress. The boys suspect witchery on the part of the wife, so they visit her next. When Olivia comes over to pay her respects, Cas blurts out that she and Gary were having an affair. Turns out, Gary and his wife had an open marriage. “Best wife ever,” Dean mutters before they leave.
Next up is a man who kills himself by jumping off a roof.

Jane Espenson's new episode of Once Upon a Time, "The Return," airs tonight at 8 pm on ABC. Jane did a bunch of interviews this week, both about Once and her other projects, old and new. Here are some snippets:
Buddy TV:
What can you say about the upcoming Once Upon a Time episode, "The Return"?
Jane Espenson: "The Return...' I really love this one. It's another Rumplestiltskin episode and he is my favorite. And yeah, this is an episode in which he is, in Storybrooke he's going to figure out who August is. And in fairytale land, he's going to be dealing with his son, who's not entirely happy about how his father's changing and wants him to change back. So Gold is going to be going through some stuff. Because he's a character who remembers his past. So, unlike a lot of characters, when we do the flashbacks,...

Once Upon A Time, Season 1, Episode 5: “That Still Small Voice”
Directed by Paul A. Edwards
Written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz
Airs 8pm Et on ABC
Once Upon A Time is crippled with one major handicap and unfortunately his name is Jared Gilmore, who stars as Henry, a key character to the overall plot of the series. While each episode continues to improve in direction, production, character development, acting and so on, little Jared seems to be getting worse. Even with Jane Espenson – a veteran of the Whedonverse – onboard to pen the script, “That Still Small Voice” just can’t escape the problems that the small boy brings. Be it the character beats or the awful acting, something needs to be done in order to elevate this series from good to potentially great.
Once Upon a Time continued their reinvention and reimaginging of classic fairy tales, this time...

Writers/Directors: Damon Lindelof, Carton Cuse, Jack Bender, Adam Horowitz, Paul Edwards, Tucker Gates, Edward Kitsis, Elizabeth Sarnoff Starring: Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Terry O'Quinn, Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway, Naveen Andrews, Yunjin Kim, Daniel Dae Kim, Michael Emmerson, Emile de Ravin, Nestor Carbonell, Ken Jeung, Jeff Fahey, Henry Ian Cusick, Mark Pellegrino Dominic Monaghan Disney Home Entertainment Release Date: August 24, 2010
Reviewing The Final Season of Lost is not the easiest thing to pull off. If you have any interest at all in this sixth and last season, then you've seen seasons one through five already (at least you better have!). And if you've seen seasons one through five, then you were most likely just as excited to inhale the sixth as everyone else, and already know exactly what you think of it!
That said, this final season was met with a battle of varying opinions.

Ever wondered what Hurley and Ben did when they ran the island? So did we. On the upcoming Lost: The Complete Sixth Season and Lost: The Complete Collection which will debut on Blu-ray & DVD on August 24, 2010 there is a full 12 minute extended scene where we get an idea of the Hurley/Ben regime of the island. Get confirmation on the polar bears, who/what is the Hurley bird and where or what is the fate of Walt?
We are not sure how long this will up but enjoy it as it is some closure to the question seekers out there on some little open ended things. The video features a new Dharma Initiaitive video explaining the use of animals on the island even showing the Dharma group’s awareness of the island’s inhabitants “worship” of Jacob. We even get an explanation of the room 23 where Carl was...

"We're very close to the end." While those words are spoken aloud by Jacob on the latest installment of Lost, they might as well have been spoken by tireless showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, signaling to the audience that the curtain is about to drop on six seasons of storylines and the final battle between good and evil, with the fate of a mythical island and the entire world hanging in the balance. Tonight's penultimate episode of Lost ("What They Died For"), written by Elizabeth Sarnoff and Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz and directed by Paul Edwards, definitely moved the players and their pieces into their final positions. The episode, offering a mix of humor and heartbreak, delivered some serious forward momentum and brought the story back once again to the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 after last week's polarizing detour into outright parable ("Across the Sea"). The six seasons...

I hate spoilers. I don't read them, I don't like them, and I don't want to foist them onto you, my readers. I had the opportunity last week to watch tonight's episode of Lost ("What They Died For") and I've kept my mouth shut because I don't want to ruin the sense of surprise and discovery that comes from going into an episode unencumbered by any advance knowledge of what's about to unfold. So I'm not going to reveal even an iota of the plot of tonight's fantastic installment of Lost, written by Elizabeth Sarnoff and Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz and directed by Paul Edwards. (Sorry!) What I will say is that it did remove some of the bad taste left in my mouth by the previous episode ("Across the Sea"), easily the most divisive episode in the entire history of Lost so far. It builds on some of...

"A wise man once said that war is coming to this island. I think it just got here." - The Man in Black One of the central relationships on Lost since the very beginning of the series has been the often turbulent (and sometimes tender) marriage between Sun and Jin. It's no surprise then that the duo--linked by bonds of affection and fate--would be the focus of this week's episode, one that offers another facet of their relationship to explore. A what-if, in the Lost-X world, that dives into an examination of what might have been had Sun and Jin made different choices. This week's episode of Lost ("The Package"), written by Paul Zbyszewski and Graham Roland and directed by Paul Edwards, offered one of the strongest "sideways" installments to date, focusing on the very different circumstances in which Sun and Jin find themselves in the Lost-X timeline.

Lost has always been about patterns: the causality of our actions and who we become (seen via the series' trademark flashbacks), the sense that a group of strangers are connected by invisible threads linking them together, and the sense that we might be locked into various behaviors, regardless of the timestream. Last night's episode of Lost ("What Kate Does"), written by Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis and directed by Paul Edwards, points to this very phenomenon as the castaways are once again captured by the Others and held against their will (this time at the Temple rather than the bear cages) while certain events are once more coming together for what I've dubbed the Lost-X group members. Destiny is, let's remember, a fickle bitch and clearly has a sense of humor as well. While Kate might be determined to flee Marshall Edward Mars, convinced of her innocence, she's once...

Lost is back! And after months of ABC refusing to release any new photos (beyond cast photos) or footage, we finally have a plethora of new images and videos to share with you.
We already posted 2 sneak peeks for the upcoming February 10 episode of Lost (see here and here) and now ABC has released over 20 promo photos for the same episode (check them out below).
Jack Shephard is back, baby, and he's kicking ass and taking names! We're getting close to the end and I'm anxious to see Jack step into the leadership position again and start smacking people around (like that awesome scene where he beat up Ben).
Kate's On The Run, On ABC's "Lost"
"What Kate Does" – Kate finds herself on the run, while Jack is tasked with something that could endanger a friend's life, on "Lost," Tuesday, February 9 (9:00-10:00 p.m., Et) on the ABC Television Network.

Earlier today we posted a sneak peek from the February 10 episode of Lost and now we have another one to share with you, along with a short synopsis that ABC just released today.
By the way, did you hear the news that the series finale will be airing on Sunday, May 23? Interesting choice, moving it to a Sunday. Or is Darlton just picking that date because 23 happens to be one of the numbers?

"I hope you like red." This week's episode of Fringe ("Dream Logic"), written by Josh Singer and directed by Paul A. Edwards, was a step back in the right direction after last week's off-the-rails installment that had me screaming at my television with frustration. Not so this week, which offered a rather X-Files-esque one-off investigation while also continuing to develop some rather juicy subplots for our troika of paranormal investigators, Olivia and the Bishops. This week saw the return of Kevin Corrigan's Sam Weiss, a very welcome addition to the series, as he continued to help Olivia deal with the consequences from her travels "over there," and a shocking glimpse into Peter's backstory that had me gasping for air even as I noticed that Challenger poster over Peter's dresser. (Nice Easter egg that.) While the case this week focused on a form of addictive dream theft by a sleep researcher with a dual personality,...

Lost Episode 514 (Happy 100th Episode Lost!) "The Variable" Written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz Directed by Paul A. Edwards Original Airdate: 4/29/09 Dig It or Bury It? Happy 100th Episode! Classic Lost – slow build, smooth finish. Definitely dig it. I did find Faraday's flashbacks, however, beyond lame. They were chock full of who-gives-a-crap back story and little pieces of the puzzle that we didn't need to see the whole picture. But, like I said two weeks ago, everyone's back mixing it up again and that's good enough for me – especially in this whole "Doctor Who" scenario they've kinda set up. Oh, and...
