- Irving Elman was born on June 28, 1915 in Paterson, New Jersey, USA. He was a writer and producer, known for Slattery's People (1964), Jewels of Brandenburg (1947) and Roses Are Red (1947). He died on November 22, 2011 in La Jolla, San Diego, California, USA.
- Author, producer and composer, educated at City College of New York with a Bachelor of Science degree. He wrote and produced plays, including "Uncle Willie", "The Brass Ring", and "The First Million". Joining ASCAP in 1962, his chief musical collaborators were Harry Sukman and Norman Luboff.
