Disney Channel’s “Andi Mack” centers on a multigenerational family that has Chinese roots, but the show never really addressed that heritage with any depth in its first season. That’s going to change with Friday’s episode, “Chinese New Year,” which will go inside the Mack home as they celebrate the Lunar New Year.
Creator, writer, and executive producer Terri Minsky told IndieWire why the show decided to feature the traditional Asian holiday on the show.
“While ‘Andi Mack’ was not originally conceived to be a show about an Asian-American family, when we cast Chinese-American actress Peyton Elizabeth Lee in the title role, we then cast other Asian-American actors to play her family members,” she said. “The stories are meant to be universal about a teenage girl dealing with her life, and at the core of her life is ‘family.’ So, the Chinese New Year celebration at the Mack...

Tom Brady is going all Carrie Mathison in his search for his missing Super Bowl jersey -- issuing a "Suspect Board" with all the possible suspects ... including Lady Gaga, Julian Edelman and the kid from "Billy Madison." It's pretty funny ... Tom even pokes fun at the $500,000 value he gave the Houston Police Dept. Also listed ... The "Crab People" from "South Park," Jaws (because of his violent history) ... and the creepy courtroom sketch of himself from the Deflategate hearings.

Question: I’m curious about the mention of a boyfriend for Arrow‘s Felicity (in TVLine’s Comic-Con video). She’s supposed to be so traumatized by Havenrock that she has pretty much shut down and is focusing on work as a vigilante, but she’s also dating? Seems odd. —Morgan
Ausiello: Yes, Felicity is laser-focused on keeping Team Arrow alive, in some (new) form. But as such, no one can fault her for welcoming, after a “long day,...

Alice (Rachel Weisz) is in China cut open by a magician, in an ER room telling a patient to breathe, in Tanzania researching insects, and in a parked car spying on a suburban house. Complete Unknown begins by showing what it is to live as someone who, at the very least, is running from their past and has not developed an adult capacity to deal, and at the most, is inhabiting a semi-psychotic state addicted to deception. The montage, returned to later in explanatory voiceover, is one of the film’s most beautiful sequences because it is both gorgeous and graspable.
This snapshot of Alice’s world is interesting but not enough for us to care about her first family then runaway story, nor about a clichéd story of ex-hunting; in this case the ex is Tom (Michael Shannon) and she shows up at his home for a dinner party.

If you’ve never thought about Carson and Mrs. Hughes having sex, Sunday’s Downton Abbey season premiere probably came as a bit of a shock.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have been vacationing in Costa Rica with their family, and last Friday the group headed to the beach to soak up the sun and play in the surf. Tom went boogie boarding while Gisele walked on the sand in a sexy black bikini - the two-piece even turned a fellow beachgoer's head as he walked toward the water to go surfing! Gisele has shared multiple photos of the getaway on Instagram including a picturesque shot of her and Tom riding horses on the beach at sunset with their little ones. Tom even posted a few cute videos on Facebook including one of him being buried in the sand and another showing one of his boys surfing for the first time! There was plenty to celebrate on the trip since Tom and the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl in February and Tom and Gisele...

Known dog-lover Tom Hardy took a break from posing on the red carpet at the NYC premiere of his latest film, The Drop, to get in serious snuggle time with an adorable pit bull puppy. The playful pup wiggled her way into Tom's arms and then made a point to give the handsome actor plenty of kisses. Hey, we can't blame her! At one point, Tom even gave the adorable dog a belly rub right in the middle of the red carpet. The squirmy canine wasn't exactly out of place at the premiere, as The Drop is centered on a crooked business owner who bonds with an abandoned pup. (You probably remember all those adorable pictures of Tom cuddling with a dog from last year.) Keep reading to see all the hilarious pictures from Tom's big night.

So, Edgar Wright has left Ant-Man. The official statement went as follows (which you probably saw yesterday, Tom even shed a tear) ”Marvel and Edgar Wright jointly announced today that the studio and director have parted ways on Ant-man due to differences in their vision of the film. The decision to move on is amicable and does not impact the release date on July 17, 2015. A new director will be announced shortly.” And of course the internet exploded (as did Tom’s eyes) with inside scoops, Cornettos and pictures of cats. First out of the traps was the wonderful Joss Whedon with nothing but a tweet with the below picture. Of course Cornettos are quite symbolic when it comes to Edgar Wright. Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End are affectionately known as the Cornetto trilogy. So when The Avengers director fired off this tweet, geeks sploshed...

We've already had some revelations about McBusted from the first part of Fearne and... 1. The boys really do take tattoo roulette seriously.
We learnt about tattoo roulette in the first episode, but in this one poor Matt - who lost the game after a very, very intense rock, paper, scissors battle - actually got a frog tattooed on his leg. They weren't messing about.
2. Russell Crowe bloody loved Tom Fletcher's wedding song.
Well, we kind of already knew this, but it was lovely to be reminded. Russell saw the wedding video and loved it, telling a reporter: "This man has such a rich internal life... I just think he's incredibly special.

That's it! We're done! The blind auditions are now over, and the coaches' teams are finally complete. Mind you, with will.i.am chatting about ducks and reciting the alphabet, Ricky making sure his hair was perfect and talking about how he used to want to be Et, Sir Tom trying to destroy his chair out of frustration, and everyone complaining about how tough the whole thing was, it's a surprise we made it.
And, of course, the final blinds are always brutal - seven acts made it through, but eleven had to say goodbye. Still, who made it and who didn't? Who were we loving? Read on to find out how we ranked this week's auditionees...

Boy, those teams are looking mighty busy. The fifth week of blind auditions on The Voice is over, and when the coaches weren't marvelling at how flirtatious Miss Minogue is, and when Emma and Marvin weren't messing about on segways, examining nipple tassles and generally having a whale of a time, eight lucky people made it through to the next round. Eight!
It was probably the toughest week yet for ranking, as we liked pretty much everyone that nabbed a spot on a team, but we gave it a go anyway (even if we're not sure we've got it right). Let us know what you thought...

Alright, Max might have made it to the top of our rankings this week, but we do have one problem with him: it's not fair that he's a judo champ and ace at singing. We can't do either!

MTV News caught up with Tom Hiddleston as the actor made his way to the MTV Movie Awards, where he would go on to win the Golden Bucket for Best Villain.
The actor, famous for playing Loki in both "Thor" and "Marvel's the Avengers," touched on a wide range of topics. There's one question that's been burning inside the brains of every Loki fan for at least a year now: does Hiddleston ever rock a Loki t-shirt?
"I think I did when 'Avengers' came out as sort of a joke," the actor reveals. "But I tend to... not so much," the actor added, before letting out that fan-favorite chuckle of his.
The most pertinent topic was, of course, the actor's role in this year's Thor sequel, "Thor: The Dark World." With Christopher Eccleston joining the cast as the evil Malekith, we asked if Hiddleston liked handing the villain reins to someone else.

Word was just out, Katie Holmes was apparently treated like a robot by soon-to-be ex-husband, Tom Cruise. She said that Tom actually controlled her just like a puppet master.
It was even revealed that Tom even asked some scenes to be cut out in "Thank You For Smoking" back in 2005 when Katie was filming it.
Tom actually instructed the producers to remove any promotional photos for the film that involves some sort of kissing between Katie and then co-star, Aaron Eckhart.
It was also said that Tom actually prohibited Katie from flying with the rest of the cast of Batman Begins during filming and let Katie travel alone on his private jet.

Want to know who's in the cast for Tom Hanks' Larry Crowne? It's the new movie he co-wrote and will be directing, and of course, he's on screen, as well. Julia Roberts is in the cast, too, but Hanks made a rather unusual casting announcement this week, posting a photo of his new ensemble on Twitpic and on Twitter.
Here's what we can tell you: Hanks, Julia, Cedric the Entertainer, George Takei (?!), Hanks' old Bosom Buddies co-star, Peter Scolari, Bryan Cranston, Wilmer Valderrama, Taraji P. Henson, and some other people. Here's my question: Why do Julia and Tom even have head shots? Who's making a casting decision and needs to pull out the pictures for a side-by-side? I realize they're pretty old shots, but still.

Only four weeks into "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains," Tribal Council took an interesting turn when the Heroes blindsided Cirie Fields by voting her out. Several of the Heroes tribe members originally brought up the idea of voting out Candice Woodcock, but when Cirie -- who had an alliance with Candice -- heard of it, she presented a different strategy, based on the fact that Tom Westman had the Immunity Idol in his possession. Her suggestion was that the tribe should vote three for Tom and three for Colby Donaldson. Then, because there would be a tie, neither Tom nor Colby could vote, and on the second ballot, they would eliminate out Colby. Unfortunately for Cirie, her plan backfired when Jt Thomas aligned himself with Tom and Colby. "The Insider" talks to Cirie to find out what she thinks went awry. Et: I did not expect to be talking to you this morning.
