Hulu’s divorce dramedy Fleishman Is in Trouble wrapped up its eight-episode run with its characters reacting in very different ways to the terrifying onset of middle age — but it also ended with a slight glimmer of hope.
Thursday’s finale picks up with Libby knocking on Toby’s door late at night to tell him all about Rachel’s insomniac ordeal. But Toby’s only reaction is: “So that’s it?” He’s utterly unaffected, even callous, when Libby tells him Rachel had a nervous breakdown, concluding, “She’s not my problem.” The next day at work, though, Toby...

Comedic actors Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis are set to star in the Richard Linklater directed film project Larry's Kidney. The movie is an adaptation of Daniel Asa Rose's comic memoir.
According to The Wrap, "Ferrell will play author Daniel Asa Rose, who traveled to China with his black-sheep cousin Larry (Galifianakis) and his mail-order bride to save Larry's life by skirting the law and securing him a kidney transplant." They go on to explain that the story, "balances comedy with life-and-death stakes. Another element of the project's appeal is its Chinese setting."
Ferrell and Galifianakis starred together in the comedy The Campaign. This new project sounds like it will be a lot better. The film also has a solid director attached to it. In case your not familiar with Linklater's name, he's worked on films such as Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, After Midnight, Dazed and Confused, and most recently Boyhood.

Best comedy buds Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis are about to embark on a strange trip. The Wrap reports that the duo will be starring in an adaptation of Daniel Asa Rose's darkly funny memoir Larry's Kidney, set to be directed by Richard Linklater. That is, if the director survives his cohabitation with convicted murderer Bernie Tiede, who inspired 2011's Bernie. The story begins with Larry Feldman, a “gun-toting couch potato,” who after two years on dialysis desperately needed a kidney. Risking everything, he decided to head to China with cousin Daniel (the author) — a relative he hadn’t spoken to for years. During his bizarre journey to get a kidney transplant, Larry also decided to meet a mail-order bride. However...

Once presidential rivals in the middling political comedy The Campaign, funnymen Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis are set to team up on a film that could provide some of the comic gold missing from their 2012 film. The actors will head to China in Larry’s Kidney, based on a bizarre memoir from author Daniel Asa Rose that could just be outlandish enough to work with both Ferrell and Galifianakis’ brazen comic sensibilities. Better yet, director Richard Linklater is slated to helm. The last time Linklater made a dark comedy based on true events, we got the sublime Bernie, one of his most under-appreciated gems.
The book Larry’s Kidney has the verbose subtitle, Being the True Story of How I Found Myself in China with My Black Sheep Cousin and His Mail-Order Bride, Skirting the Law to Get Him a Transplant–and Save His Life. I doubt Linklater’s film...

On paper, teaming up Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis seems like a no-brainer that would result in awesome hilarity. In practice, we got the thoroughly underwhelming "The Campaign," a low point for both comic actors, but they're going to give it another go on something that sounds a lot more promising. The Wrap reports that the pair are set to reunite for "Larry's Kidney," which looks like it will be the next movie from Richard Linklater. Based on the memoir of the same name by Daniel Asa Rose, the story follows a man who travels with his cousin and mail-order bride to China in order to get a life-saving kidney transplant. Here's the Amazon synopsis: Larry Feldman desperately needed a kidney. After two god-awful years on dialysis, watching his life ebb away while waiting on a transplant list behind 74,000 other Americans, the gun-toting couch potato decided to risk everything and travel to China,...

HollywoodNews.com: Drg Records is proud to announce the solo album debut of Jane Krakowski, the Tony Award winning Broadway star of “Nine” and “Damn Yankees” and the Emmy Award nominated star of “30 Rock” and “Ally McBeal.” The Laziest Gal In Town is the delightfully sexy CD captured last fall during her nightclub debut at the Park Avenue hotspot Feinstein’s at Loews Regency. The disc will be in stores and online July 13, 2010.
The Laziest Gal In Town – named for the droll Cole Porter title cut – lets Jane shine in a charming variety of standards, show songs and rarities. She recreates her acclaimed theatrical triumph as the evil temptress “Lola” in Damn Yankees with “A Little Brains, A Little Talent.” A medley of two zippy Jazz Age ditties, “Wacky Dust” and “When I Get Low, I Get High” – first popularized by the young Ella Fitzgerald – playfully sends up drug culture.
