The Harry Potter franchise introduced an array of interesting characters, which continue to be fan favorites even now. However, the show was majorly carried by three main protagonists who went through thick and thick to tackle several obstacles before eventually defeating Lord Voldemort. With different adventures encapsulated in the franchise, Potterheads made sure to ship the characters with one another in the entire saga.

When Megan Leavey joined the Marines, she was looking for a fresh start. Things at home weren’t going well — she couldn’t keep a job, and her best friend had just died. But over time, and throughout their tours in Iraq, they became an inseparable, life-saving duo.
Based on a true story, the 2017 film Megan Leavey is the journey of an unlikely pair and how they managed to stay together against all odds. Alan Rickman could be an intimidating presence; by all accounts, though, he was one of the most gracious and encouraging actors in the business. But try telling that to a pre-teen who was about to star in his first movie. Yes, Daniel Radcliffe was scared stiff of Severus Snapes himself, Alan Rickman, during the making of Harry Potter.
As Radcliffe revealed on the Happy Sad Confused podcast (via Variety), “I was so intimidated by Alan Rickman [while making Harry Potter]. How can you not be by that voice? Even hearing that voice you forget quite how low it was until it echoes through you. I was so intimidated by him for the first three movies. I was terrified by him and was like, ‘This guy hates me.’” However, Radcliffe kept at his task, showing nothing but dedication to playing Harry Potter that “somewhere along the lines he saw that I really wanted to do this and work at it.

Of all the roles Tom Felton has taken on to date, his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter saga will continue to be remembered as one of his best performances ever. But despite such a remarkable embodiment of the character that had fans loving him in that respective role, the 36-year-old actor has some serious regrets related to the same nonetheless.
Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy.
To be more precise, there is one scene from The Boy Who Lived’s saga that could have delivered the true respect that his character deserved. However, because of a series of unfortunate events for the young Malfoy, that scene never managed to make it to the final cut for the film and eventually transformed into one of Felton’s biggest regrets related to Potter’s Wizarding World.

Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton), the resident Hogwarts bad boy, was hardly a character fans fawned over during the Harry Potter craze of the early 2000s. He wasn’t the hero, nor was he the mastermind villain. He was a low-tier antagonist; a schoolyard bully who was always overshadowed by the Gryffindor trio — Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson), and Ron (Rupert Grint). And yet, years after the final movie’s release and despite 31 minutes of screen time across the entire franchise, Draco Malfoy has somehow transcended his role as a minor villain and become a true fan favorite. So, what

We’re happy to report that after five days, all of our New Years Resolutions are still intact. Except for the one about doing 20 minutes of yoga in the morning. Impossible. And the one about not eating the entire bag of potato chips in one sitting. Yeah, nah. Oh! We also didn’t stop doomscrolling, smoking or clipping our toenails at the gym. But other than that? Perfectly on track. And while there are still two long months of awards season left to endure enjoy, the New Year has brought a bountiful crop of Don’t-Miss Indies.

Emma Watson has never been too fond of having the spotlight on her love life. In fact, she's far more forthcoming about her business dealings - like her brand of gin, Renais - than her personal life, which she prefers to keep private, unless she ever feels the need to address rumors head-on.

Before the “Harry Potter” films, there were J.K. Rowling’s books. The first book, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” was published in 1997. Nearly 26 years later, eleven films, one reunion special and a Universal experience dedicated to the magical Wizarding World have grown out of Rowling’s literary staple in childhood fiction.

It's been over a decade since the last Harry Potter movie came out in theaters in 2011. Sob if you need to, but the good news is that the actors are still friends with each other. Many of them even reunited on screen in Max's reunion special, "Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts," in 2022, which saw them reliving secret crushes on each other and bonding over the surreal experience of being a part of one of the biggest franchises in the world.
Over the years, the cast has also reunited off screen many times. Tom Felton, in particular, has been fabulously reliable about sharing updates on his friendships with cast members. He's posted proof of reunions all over Instagram, and even wrote about his friendships in his 2022 memoir "Beyond the Wand," recalling how he and Emma Watson first met during the auditioning process. The Harry Potter films tell the story of a young boy who overcomes tragedy to become a great wizard. Based on the books by J.K. Rowling (who has said some things that are absolutely awful), the stories spellbound millions of people who waited for their owl message telling them they got into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and bought wands by the gazillions. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, some incredible stunt performers were doing amazing work to make us buy that the main actors were actually pulling off these feats of bravery. There was flying on brooms, fight scenes, explosions, and so much more over the course of eight films. Stuntman David Holmes was there for every one of them, doubling star Daniel Radcliffe and taking on the dangerous things the main actor couldn't do.
Unfortunately, during a rehearsal scene for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," Holmes was injured.

Fantasy films are hard done by when it comes to earning acting nominations at the Oscars. “The Lord of the Rings,” which was an academy darling, of course, only garnered one nomination for its cast across all three movies. That was for Ian McKellen who reaped a Best Supporting Actor bid for the first film in the trilogy, “The Fellowship of the Ring.” The likes of Andy Serkis, Sean Astin and Elijah Wood were repeatedly snubbed.
Harry Potter is another of those fantasy film franchises that was short-changed at the Oscars for its acting despite a plethora of excellent performances from the cream of the British crop. Not to mention the central trio of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint who developed from child stars to fully-fledged thespians across the eight-film series. The magical world of Harry Potter spellbound audiences and served as a training ground for its young stars. One such example? Alan Rickman passed down tips on keeping a straight face during filming to Rupert Grint, who struggled to suppress his giggles.
However, even the wisdom of a seasoned actor like Rickman couldn’t tame Grint’s on-screen laughter. Good advice doesn’t always yield the expected results, even from a figure as revered as Rickman.

As a budding actor in his youth, Grint often found it challenging to keep a straight face during his scenes in Harry Potter. It was a recurring issue between Grint and Daniel Radcliffe that often disrupted filming.
But, he had the good fortune of sharing the screen with Rickman, a seasoned actor who eagerly imparted his wisdom to the younger cast members.

"Harry is spent. The crowd is destroying its throats calling Harry's name. Harry feels right with himself. He's down there, a new God who has found his calling. He holds up the Snitch and bellows 'I am a beautiful animal! I am a destroyer of worlds! I am Harry f***ing Potter!' And, dear reader, at last, the world was quiet."
The above passage comes from "Wizard People, Dear Reader," an unauthorized, parodic "book on tape" version of the movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," written and performed by comedian Brad Neely. The passage comes at the end of a match of Quidditch (which Neely mistakenly called Cribbage), a sport in Harry Potter's wizarding world that is, essentially, a midair version of rugby, played while riding flying broomsticks. Daniel Radcliffe already reached a certain level of fame after doing the first couple of Harry Potter movies. But there was one film that was supposed to mark his transition from child star to heartthrob.

Filmmaker Chris Columbus saw the Harry Potter stars’ growth up close. He directed two of the series’ movies in Sorcerer’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets. According to Columbus, the actors matured greatly between the first and second films. Because of this, the filmmaker felt that there would be a change in heartthrob status between two of the franchise’s leads.
“In the last film the heart-throb was Tom Felton who played Draco Malfoy, everybody loves a bad boy, right.” Columbus once told Times (via Irish Examiner). “In this film it’s going to be more over to Dan. He’s...

Harry Potter coming to its conclusion was an emotional time for the actors involved. So much so that the cast and crew considered branding themselves with a permanent reminder of their time on set. But although Rupert Grint was interested in the idea, it seemed a few of his co-stars weren’t on board.

Grint and Watson had different feelings regarding how to commemorate the end of the Harry Potter franchise. According to Grint, they considered inking themselves. To honor both the movies and the character, the tattoos would’ve referenced Harry Potter’s iconic look.
“There was talk between us about doing something like a tattoo,” Grint once told Daily Mirror. “It would have been something subtle like Harry’s lightning scar. It would’ve been a great way of marking the end of filming.

You’re a wizard indeed–and only a wizard could work the sort of spell that was cast over children and adults all over the world beginning in the late ‘90s, turning the wildly successful Harry Potter books (we’re talking 120 million copies sold here) into one of the most profitable franchises ever.
With J.K. Rowling watching over the production diligently (sometimes to a fault), Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone aka …Sorcerer’s Stone was a marvel of an adaptation. And what eventually arrived didn’t come from a burly half-giant, but rather a wide-eyed cast of newcomers, a visionary crew conjuring the proper vision and the guy who directed Adventures in Babysitting…
So put on your sorting hat and head for Platform 9 ¾ as we find out…Wtf Happened to this movie?!
The making of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone goes back to 1997, the same year the novel was published.

Had The Flash kept “Run, Barry, Run!”-ing for one more season, fans of the (extended) Arrowverse might have laid witness to one last, multi-show crossover event.
Showrunner Eric Wallace shared with EW (ahead of the strike) that at one point, “I originally had a two-year plan involving Seasons 9 and 10.” And somewhere in there would have been a crossover event stemming from a live-action adaptation of “The Blackest Night,” a comic book storyline involving Nekron, Lord of the Unliving, and the death-fueled Black Lantern Corps.

Emma Watson is opening up about a challenging time in her life. In an interview with Financial Times, Watson, who hasn’t starred in a movie since 2018’s “Little Women”, reveals she “wasn’t very happy” when she was working as an actress.
“I think I felt a bit caged,” Watson, 33, explains. “The thing I found really hard was that I had to go out and sell something that I really didn’t have very much control over. To stand in front of a film and have every journalist be able to say, ‘How does this align with your viewpoint?’ It was very difficult to have to be the face and the spokesperson for things where I didn’t get to be involved in the process.”

Tom Felton is remembering his late Harry Potter co-star Robbie Coltrane on what would’ve been Coltrane’s 73rd birthday.
In an essay shared with E! News on Thurdsay, Felton remembered the actor he described as “endlessly playful,” “constantly cheeky” and “always kind.” He noted that while he starred alongside other young actors including Emma Watson (who was 9 when cast) and Daniel Radcliffe (who was 11), the cast also comprised of Maggie Smith and Richard Harris, who were in their sixties and seventies at the time.
“Do the math: You were either one of the kids, or you were one of the grown-ups. Unless, that is, you were Robbie Coltrane,” Felton writes. “Somehow, Robbie managed to be an adult and a child at the same time, maintaining a foot in both camps.”

Rupert Grint is proving his cute dad status yet again. The actor, who stars on the cover of GQ Hype, has revealed he bought his 2-year-old daughter her first Hogwarts robe. But which house is she in, we hear you ask. "Gryffindor, obviously," Grint says. Thank goodness for that.

Rupert Grint has said that it became “suffocating” starring in the Harry Potter film franchise.
The actor, 34, played Harry’s friend Ron Weasley in the eight fantasy films between 2001 and 2011.
Speaking to Bustle, Grint said: “Potter was so full on — [filming] all year, then we’d promote the rest of the time. It was quite suffocating.
“I wanted a break, to reflect on everything... It was an out-of-body experience for a while, but I think we finished at the right time. If we continued, it could’ve gone downhill.”
The actor also described how the lines between his off-screen persona and Ron began to “blur” as the franchise progressed.
“I was feeling the difficulty of being seen, being overshadowed,” he said. “In the movies, we merged into one. By the end of it, I was playing myself. The lines were blurred.
He added that he stills answers to “Ron” if anyone calls him it,...

“There is a tremendous amount of ambition for that,” Warner Bros. TV CEO said, adding, “and we are engaged in a number of different conversations,” reports eonline.com.
“I wish I could tell you that something was imminent on the horizon but there is a lot of interest and a lot of passion for it,” she continued.

Adler joined what was then Lichter Grossman & Nichols in 1997, five years after it was founded, and he was “an absolutely integral part” of the business until his retirement in 2019, the firm said.
“Throughout his career, he was a fearless and tenacious advocate for his clients, who included some of the most celebrated actors, writers, directors and producers in the film and television industries,” it noted. “His clients meant the world to him.

Daniel Radcliffe received a special surprise from his childhood celebrity crushes, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz.
While appearing on “The Drew Barrymore Show” Friday, the actor was asked whether or not it’s true that he had posters of the two Hollywood actresses in his room growing up, which he revealed in a previous interview.
“See, this is the annoying thing when you’ve been doing — as you know — interviews since you were really young, you say stuff and then that comes back 10, 20 years later,” Radcliffe, 33, told Barrymore, 47. “So yes, I did have posters of both you and Cameron Diaz.”
“With all due respect to your beautiful 10-year relationship with Erin [Darke],” the TV host replied, “I’m so excited you had posters of us! That’s so cool!”

Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav has suggested the company will try and make more Harry Potter sequels – with Jk Rowling’s involvement.
The company produced eight Harry Potter films between 2001 and 2011, starting with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and ending with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
In the years since the saga ended, Warner Bros has also produced three films in the spin-off franchise Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, also with Rowling on board.
However, amid underwhelming box office returns and controversy behind the scenes involving members of its cast, the franchise was seemingly abandoned after this year’s Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
During an investors’ call on Friday, Zaslav said (per The Hollywood Reporter) that the company was going to “focus on franchises” going forward.
“We haven’t had a Superman movie in 13 years. We haven’t done a Harry Potter in 15 years.

Jennifer Lawrence says Adele warned her about 2016 movie Passengers: ‘I should have listened to her’
Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about her career regrets, saying that she should’ve “listened” to Adele who warned her against 2016 movie Passengers.
Following the 32-year-old’s mega-success with the Hunger Games franchise, Lawrence went on to star in less critically acclaimed movies, including the 2016 sci-fi romance, which currently holds a 30 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Now, after a brief acting hiatus, Lawrence spoke to The New York Times about receiving negative reviews for the film.
“I was like, ‘Oh no, you guys are here because I’m here, and I’m here because you’re here. Wait, who decided that this was a good movie?’” she said.
When asked if a certain project made her feel that way, she answered: “Passengers, I guess.”
Lawrence added: “Adele told me not to do it! She was like, ‘I feel like space movies are the new vampire movies.’ I should have listened to her.
