For Philadelphia funeral director Patricia Quinn, helping bereaved families bury their children is tough enough.
But finding out they can’t afford to hold a funeral for their children, let alone bury them, was heartbreaking.
“It’s so devastating,” says Quinn, 49, the mother of a 15-year-old girl. “Most of the parents are young. They barely have insurance on themselves, let alone on their kid.”
So she decided to do something about it.
In March 2006, she founded Final Farewell (finalfarewell.org), a nonprofit that has so far paid for funerals, headstones, graves or urns for more than 500 children in Pennsylvania and across the country.

Did fantasy dramas Chocky, The Box Of Delights and Dramarama leave an impression on you as a kid? Revisit those nightmares here...
Spooky, always magical and occasionally downright scary dramas are the bedrock of kids' television. For me, the pinnacle of this sort of programme was reached in the 1980s. The decade saw a new approach to both traditional and contemporary drama by both UK broadcasters: ITV committed itself to regular seasons of children's plays with Dramarama (1983-89), a kind of youth version of the venerable BBC Play For Today (1970-84), which saw the 1988 television debut of one David Tennant. The BBC, building upon an impressive body of work from the early 70s onwards, produced some of its very best family drama in this era, embracing cutting edge technology to bring treats like The Box Of Delights (1984) and The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe (1988) to the screen.

Some key members of the Rocky Horror Picture Show cast reunited for an interview on Today to celebrate the cult classic's 40th anniversary and discuss the impact it had on their lives. "I've had so many people come up to me and say that film helped them through a dark time," Susan Sarandon, who played the film's Janet Weiss, said.
"The thing that resonated for me, more than anything, was 'Don't dream it, be it,' which was a really good slogan," said Tim Curry, who starred as transvestite Transylvanian Dr.

Dee Wallace is well known in genre circles. Perhaps best known as “E.T.’s mom” (actually Elliot’s mom, but when you are a kid, everything revolves around E.T.) she has starred in well over 100 films, including Cujo, The Hills Have Eyes, Critters, Popcorn, The Frighteners, The Howling, and Halloween (2007). Her two most recent genre outings are Hansel and Gretel (no relation to the Jeremy Renner version) and Rob Zombie’s Lords of Salem. She opened up to us about low-budget filmmaking and working with Rob Zombie.
How did you get involved in Hansel and Gretel?
Anthony Ferrante, the director, called me up and said, “Please, will you do this?” I loved the take on this story that they had come up with. I thought it was very true to the original story, and yet very creative, bringing it into the 2013 horror genre. Most of all, I just really respect Anthony.

Hammer has risen from the grave as a brand new company that releases some pretty amazing horror films notably, Let Me In and Wakewood. They also released a remake of The Woman in Black recently that left me underwhelmed. While Hammer may be shaking out the rigor mortise, Synapse Films is taking full advantage of renewed interest in some of the works from Hammer Productions former glory. On the coat tails of their Blu-ray release of the Twins of Evil comes a new DVD package of the television program Hammer House of Horrors. As a fan of Hammer I am overjoyed to see this get some new packaging. As a lover of horror these tales are perfect for October and great for some of the teens in the house (if you’re teens can stand boobies and blood).
First off this is a DVD release. It was previously released on...

Rob Zombie has released a new disturbing trailer for his next horror film project titled Lords of Salem. I haven't been the biggest fan of Zombie's films over the years, but this one actually kind of interests me. I especially like how this trailer is cut, it's got some horrifically devilish class.
Heidi, a radio station DJ, receives a wooden box containing a record. Heidi listens and the bizarre sounds within the grooves immediately trigger flashbacks of Salem’s violent past. Is Heidi going mad or are the Lords of Salem returning for revenge on modern day Salem?
Anchor Bay purchased the film at the Toronto Film Festival for about $2 million. The movie stars Sheri Moon Zombie, Bruce Davison, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Ken Foree, Patricia Quinn, Dee Wallace and Judy Geeson.
Watch the trailer and tell us what you think!

The film, opening on October 17, also stars Billy Drago, Clint Howard, Dee Wallace, Ken Foree, Lisa Marie, Michael Merryman, Patricia Quinn, Sheri Moon Zombie, Sid Haig, and Udo Kier.

In 1975, Patricia Quinn's lips were immortalized in the Rocky Horror Picture Show opening credits thanks to a close-up as she sang along to Science Fiction/Double Feature.
Christina Aguilera, perhaps the world's biggest fan of red lips, is set to recreate that iconic opening with the release of Casa de mi Padre, a new "foreign film" starring Will Ferrell.

The Voice mentor supplies the theme song for the film and an extreme close-up of her lips -- as she sings Casa de mi Padre -- kick off the action. Give the title track a spin below!
