Australian women's hockey team players Jayde Taylor and Brooke Peris were warming down after competing against Malaysia at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games on Thursday when they decided to take a selfie (above). Posting the picture on Twitter, Taylor wrote, "Ahhh The Queen photo-bombed our selfie!! #royalty #sheevensmiled #amazing #Glasgow2014 @Hockeyroos @AusComGames."
Taylor admitted later that she was hoping to catch the Queen in the picture, but had no idea that the British royal saw her – let alone that she would smile at the camera."Brooke [Peris] and I planned it so that when she came out the door she would be behind us. And then she came out and smiled at the camera!" Taylor told ABC News. "We were in the right spot at the right time."
