When Mark graduated from school he realized his years of playing jazz
trombone wasn't going to help him find a job. So he fell back on the
Electrical Engineering Degree he earned at Tulane University and found
a job designing mixing boards for Quad Eight Electronics. During his
time there Mark designed a custom mixing board for Ray Charles leading
to a 12-year relationship. Mixing on his last album with Mr. Charles,
Mark received three Grammys including Best Engineered Album and Record
of the Year. During that time Mark also mixed for Todd AO Studios
working on such shows as Entourage, Huff and Rescue Me. He won an Emmy
for Entourage.
In 2006 Mark was offered lead mixer on Disney's Stage C. Some of the
features he has done there are
Tinker Bell (2008) and
Sydney White (2007). His Television
shows have included
October Road (2007),
Flashforward (2009)_ and
Once Upon a Time (2011). He
continues to enjoy working with some of the greatest talent in the
business, winning the HPA award for best sound on Television
Fringe (2008).
