Actor Jacob Elordi doesn’t look back fondly on the experience of working on ‘The Kissing Booth’ trilogy despite the trilogy launching his career. Jacob, 26, reflected on his 2018 breakout role in the first film of the teen romance trilogy for GQ’s Men of the Year issue, reports People magazine.
The actor said: “I didn’t want to make those movies before I made those movies. Those movies are ridiculous. They’re not universal. They’re an escape”.
The films were adapted from Beth Reekles’ 2012 novel of the same name.
As per People, he played bad boy football star Noah Flynn in the films, the love interest of leading lady Elle Evans (Joey King) and older brother of her best friend, Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney).
‘The Kissing Booth’ marked one of Jacob’s first films, but after signing on for the two sequels, the Australian actor felt dissatisfied to say the least.

The Kissing Booth has all the makings of a classic rom-com. With its upbeat soundtrack, onscreen romances, and humble Wattpad beginnings, it's garnered quite a cult following. The rom-com centers on high school students and lifelong best friends Elle Evans (Joey King) and Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney). In order to protect and preserve their special friendship, the two create a list of rules they've sworn to follow, the most significant being rule number nine: relatives of your best friend are off limits, especially Lee's bad-boy older brother, Noah (Jacob Elordi). Not a problem . . . until Elle and Noah share a kiss at the kissing booth. Elle now risks Lee finding out and losing both of them.

Sad news for fans of Netflix’s “The Kissing Booth” and “To All the Boys” franchises – both will be coming to a close this year.
Along with Netflix’s announcement of its 2021 movie slate, the streaming platform confirmed that each franchise’s third film — “The Kissing Booth 3” and “To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean” — will be the last.
Both of the rom-com trilogies have performed extremely well on the platform. Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos called the original “Kissing Booth” film, which released in 2018, one of the most-watched movies in the country, with one in three viewers re-watching the film. “Kissing Booth 2,” which premiered on July 24, 2020, was the third-most viewed release on Netflix that weekend, and became one of its most popular titles of the year. The first “To All the Boys” movie, “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,” was also a breakout success,...

If you're like us, you've been anxiously waiting for the release of The Kissing Booth 3 since the premiere of the sequel! Slated to hit Netflix in 2021, the movie will be centered on best friends Elle Evans (Joey King) and Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney) and their epic summer leading up to freshman year of college. However, Elle has a big life-changing decision to make: follow her original plan to go to Berkeley with Lee or head off to Harvard to be with her boyfriend - who also happens to be Lee's brother - Noah (Jacob Elordi).
The Kissing Booth 3 is gearing up to be a drama-filled flick, and fortunately for us, we don't have to say goodbye to any of our favorite characters, either. The original cast, as well as a few others from The Kissing Booth 2, have been confirmed for the third movie. Watch The Kissing Booth 3's trailer,...

One of the best parts of The Kissing Booth and The Kissing Booth 2 is the friendship between Elle Evans (Joey King) and Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney). Their bond is the strongest in both films, but it comes at the expense of their other relationships, namely with Rachel (Meganne Young) and Noah (Jacob Elordi). If you recall, in the first movie, Elle asks Lee what he would do if she didn't like who he was in a relationship with, and he responds that he would have to break up with them. This turns out to be a big point of contention between Rachel and Lee in the sequel, along with how often Lee drops everything to spend time with Elle and forgets dates he planned with Rachel.
After Noah leaves for college at the end of the summer, Elle starts tagging along for anything and everything Rachel and Lee do together.
