Put aside your shipper preferences for a hot second and tell me that was not a damn fine way to wake up! In "We'll Always Have Bourbon Street," we were treated to another erotic Damon and Elena scene, successfully picking up where we left off at the end of last week.
Unfortunately, that includes having a sexy scene completely marred with Caroline Forbes intensity and whining. Jeez, if Elena's ex boyfriend is telling you to calm down about it, then take a damn breather girl! You are clearly flirting with Klaus and somewhat attracted to him, so let's not get into a hypocritical best friend judgment situation until we know all the facts.
Thanks to Tyler's hard bodied wisdom and Nandi the New Orleans witch, True Blood's Adina Porter, we are now enlightened on what it means for one vampire to be sired to another.
Oh hey Lex! Gosh...

It's been a long summer since the big twist in The Vampire Diaries season three finale, but we are back in Mystic Falls to see the huge impact that this event has had. As expected there are some furrowed brows and the big theme of this premiere is choice; the choice Stefan (Paul Wesley) made when he saved Matt (Zach Roerig) first and the choice that Elena (Nina Dobrev) has to make between survival and death. Did the season premiere match up to the dramatic season finale?
Returning episodes are often table setters; they have to remind us what happened at the end of the previous year as well as propel the story forward. Killing Elena with vampire blood in her system is an incredibly bold move and while I think the process of her transition was handled well, it didn't have the wow factor that I have come to expect from this show.

The Vampire Diaries 3.11 "Our Town" Review
The Vampire Diaries celebrates Caroline's (Candice Accola) 18th birthday so that's a time to be cheerful right? It would seem not, especially as this is the first birthday for Miss Forbes since she has become a vampire and this excellent episode explores letting go of the old and embracing the new. This sounds pretty simple but obstacles such as a power play between Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) makes this both dangerous and complicated.
Stefan is ready to make his move against Klaus and wants to see if his theory about the importance of the coffins is correct by calling Klaus' bluff. This is a dangerous, ballsy and perhaps stupidly crazy move that Stefan is set upon doing, with or without Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) consent. The aim of the game here is to get the hybrid army out of town and...

The Vampire Diaries 3.10 "The New Deal" Review
It has been a long time since we were last in Mystic Falls but The Vampire Diaries returned tonight with an emotionally charged episode, which deals with the repercussions of the failed killing Klaus (Joseph Morgan) plan from the mid-season finale. The fallout is of course amplified by Stefan's (Paul Wesley) choice to get even with Klaus by stealing Klaus' family coffin collection. This puts those close to Elena (Nina Dobrev) in danger that leads to a big decision. Another major event occurs in this episode but that will be covered in detail further below...
One thing I particularly like about The Vampire Diaries is that secrets aren't kept for long and whilst some other shows would have dragged Stefan's betrayal out over a few episodes, this show has Stefan revealing the truth to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) when he is first confronted by his brother.

You don't need a pair of balls to be the new Alan Dale. Despite there being a horde of male actors seeking to out-cult the former Jim Robinson, one American actress is creeping up on him very quickly indeed. Famed for playing stern characters with a somewhat vulnerable core, Michelle Forbes has dazzled viewers with her quickly expanding conquest of cult television. Many thanks to Cult Spy reader Richard Hancock for turning us on to the wonders of Miss Forbes... Star Trek: The Next Generation - Ro Laren Forbes had an occasional part as a disgraced Bajoran Starfleet officer, appearing in eight episodes. Such was her popularity, Ensign Ro returned for the show's penultimate episode in 1994 to round off her compelling storyline. Also, despite all the rubbery prosthetics attached to her face, she attracted plenty of lustful male admirers during her stint. The Outer Limits (more)...
