was an Actress/Producer/Musician. Known for her
roles in Dragnet, Sergeant Preston of the Yukon,
Judgment at Nuremberg etc., produced Policy Man,
Gone Harlem etc.
Erin's grandfather,
Irwin Franklyn,
was a Producer/Writer/Director who'd worked
with Frank Capra, Ed Wood, Martin Mooney and
many others. Known for Waterfront, Flight,
The Woman from Tangier, Gone Harlem,
Daughter of the West and many others.
Erin's father,
Fred Franklyn, was a talented
Actor, Writer and a Film Critic who specialized in
Japanese Samurai Movies. Fred was known for
the well known "I Can't Believe I At The Whole
Thing" Alkazelser Commercial, his roles in
'Mel Brooks' "High Anxiety", "Baretta", "Kojak",
"Punishment Park", "The Incredible Hulk",
"The Rockford Files", "Mrs. Columbo", "Gimme a Break!",
"The Wild Party", "Mary Tyler Moore" and many others.
Erin's mother, Megan Doherty, is a talented published writer.
Erin stayed behind the scenes where she thought it
would be somewhat safe and more stable from the trials
and tribulations of the creative world... As a child she'd
sworn she'd never get into the Biz like her eccentric family.
But, now she has the Writer/Producer bug!!
