Zachary Levi isn’t giving up on the movie followup to his NBC series Chuck, and he says creators Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak are on board.
Levi starred in the spy dramedy from 2007 to 2012 as Chuck Bartowski, an average guy who was dragged into the world of the the CIA and Nsa to take on dangerous criminals and other threats. He’s been campaigning for an expansion of the Chuck universe since the show ended, but he recently said on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show that it might actually be coming to fruition.
“I’ve been trying to make a Chuck movie since before we even finished the show. I saw the writing on the wall, I saw a lot of the streaming stuff starting to pop up. I saw a lot of like, well, people are doing, you know, like, you know, Zach Braff, I think was crowdfunding.

Is "Castle" bringing a "Chuck" star back to the future? Joshua Gomez, who played the main character's bearded sidekick on five years of "Chuck," will guest star in the fifth episode of "Castle" Season 6.
Oddly, he's claiming to be a time traveler in that episode.
According to EW.com, Gomez will play a murder suspect who claims to have traveled into the past in order to stop some terrible event from occurring. The police, however, think that he is just a murderer.
Is the man crazy? Or did -- as Castle (Nathan Fillion) will undoubtedly think -- actually travel through time?
This isn't the first time that an actor from "Chuck" has shown up on "Castle." Adam Baldwin, who played John Casey on "Chuck," reunited with his "Firefly" co-star Fillion on a 2012 episode of the police procedural. Bonita Friedericy, General Beckman on the spy comedy, also guest-starred on "Castle," playing a nun.

If the series finale of Chuck wasn’t a proper farewell, I do not know what is. These final two hours of Chuck were the most beautiful love letters to the fans, cast, crew, and everyone involved in supporting Chuck over these five incredible seasons. The comedy, the action, the romance, the geek references… it all came to an end last night in the most perfect way. Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak did not disappoint. Everyone poured their heart and soul into the finale and it showed. What a beautiful ending.

"Chuck, tell me our story."
Wasn't the answer Sarah got so much better than an upload from Intersect glasses?
I'll go on record right away as saying that I was very pleased with the "Chuck" finale, and I think the last 30 minutes of the final episode rank up there with the absolute best the show has ever done. It got dusty in my house many times during those last two hours, and as a sustained, well-earned sentimental farewell, the finale was everything I could have hoped for.
I needed to be convinced, however. When last week's episode ended with Sarah's memories gone, I was alarmed (even though I thought "Chuck Versus the Bullet Train" was a good...

Chuck began with a very special opening title, one fans will definitely appreciate especially since this was not the series finale and fans would love nothing more for familiarity come then. Perhaps the original opening awaits us in the finale episode? No matter, this week was the calm before the storm and an almost movie like opening set the tone perfectly for this week and the final episode. Embrace the movie like opening, people because this is it.
In “Chuck vs. the Bullet Train,” Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and John Casey (Adam Baldwin) are on a mission to rescue Chuck (Zachary Levi), to Chuck’s surprise, with the intersect in Sarah’s head. Chuck was understandably worried about this result but watching the two later bond over how awesome the intersect benefits are was quite a moment. In “Chuck vs. Bo,” Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) wasted no time in coming straight out about her thoughts of quitting the spy game to Chuck (Zachary Levi) and shift Carmichael Industries to an office job rather than a field job. But before this transition began, the team took some of their spy gear to Colorado for one last mission where Morgan (Joshua Gomez) was reunited with Bo Derek….his past “lover!” The first thing that surely came to everyone’s mind was, when did that happen? The next thought… what is Bo up to now in the world of Chuck? The title of the episode clearly details Bo as the bad guy. So it came as no surprise that Bo was involved with the case of the intersect. Is it safe to say she is our final female villain? Either way, it all made for one of the most entertaining episodes this season.

This week’s episode of Chuck took a back seat in exhilaration and heart pounding action. Ordinarily, a break from all of the action would be fitting but with these being the final episodes of the series… much is expected. And unfortunately there was not enough action… or comedy. Last night’s episode actually seemed rather slow moving. With such dynamite episodes in the past few weeks, this change of pace did not go unnoticed. So while this episode does not stand out among the rest, it did provide for some entertainment.
In “Chuck vs. the Kept Man,” John Casey (Adam Baldwin) rekindles the fire with Gertrude Verbanski (Carrie-Anne Moss) who also becomes the first client of Carmichael Industries ever since their C.A.R.E. Mission Statement released. Let it be noted that Moss and Baldwin’s chemistry is off the charts! Chuck (Zachary Levi) is so clever and so human!

Chuck Review, Season 5, Episode 7, “Chuck Versus the Santa Suit”
Written by Amanda Shuman
Directed by Peter Lauer
Airs Fridays at 8pm (Et) on NBC
It’s rare to see brand-new episodes from the networks during the week before Christmas, especially only two days before the big event. Given Chuck’s weak ratings since its move to Fridays, NBC appears to be plowing through the remaining episodes as quickly as possible. The benefit for fans is the chance to watch fresh content during a pretty dead zone for television. This week’s theme also centers on Christmas, so it makes sense to air the story right before the holiday. It’s a great time to catch up with a show that’s starting to find its legs again during its final run.

“Chuck vs. the Santa Suit” is without a doubt the most intense episode of season five and there are still a month’s worth of episodes left to air of the series. This also makes for the best Christmas episode of the series. There were lows and highs which included the most breathtaking game changer of the series at the very end of the episode. “Chuck vs. the Santa Suit” gave us action, tension, laughs, heart, and so much more. What an impressive hour.

What a fantastic episode of Chuck this week! This is without a doubt one of the most thrilling episodes of the season so far. A night of cat and mouse, mistaken identity, and reunions made for one heart racing night of television. Dilemmas, dilemmas! There were also some new and familiar faces this week which was quite a treat and put the cherry on top of the comedy, tension, and action in “Chuck vs. the Curse.” “Babe, what if we’re on a real spy mission?” – Awesome “Martini!” – Ellie and Awesome It was wonderful to see General Beckman (Bonita Friedericy) again after her absence in quite a few episodes, warning Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) of all things about the CIA hunting them. Another solid episode of Chuck was delivered this week! It can be debated on whether one of the best parts about Morgan having the intersect was his final play with the intersect. One thing is for sure, Chuck couldn’t have said it better after the fact, “Man, I miss the Intersect.” But there’s only a moment to reminisce about his intersect days, as there was plenty of action in this week’s episode. The writers took the expected and twisted it into some very fun unexpected moments this week. What a trip! First, General Beckman (Bonita Friedericy) is back! Round of applause everyone for her brief return! The big guns came in to try to save the day by taking the intersect out of Morgan and avoid him getting killed. Who else is thrilled that Morgan is no longer the intersect? Anyway, there’s little that Beckman can...

Chuck Review, Season 5, Episode 3, “Chuck Versus the Frosted Tips”
Written by Phil Klemmer
Directed by Paul Marks
Airs Fridays at 8pm (Et) on NBC
There comes a point in many shows when long-time fans have to decide what they expect from new episodes. Is it enough to just enjoy hanging out with favorite characters, even if the story lets them down? This question has likely been on the minds of Chuck’s dedicated (if limited) audience during the early fifth season. Putting the Intersect in Morgan hasn’t worked, even with the surprising conflict that’s come out of it. This move has changed the focus and left many characters lurking outside the frame. Involving such a large cast in each episode is tricky, and it grows even tougher when the tone is all over the map.

Chuck 5.03 "Chuck Vs. The Frosted Tips" Review
Chuck season 5 zooms on its third entry with this week’s "Chuck Vs. The Frosted Tips" as our favorite spy team at Carmichael Industries faces the Intersect-ed Morgan Grimes himself when the bearded agent gets too big for his britches, and joins up with Gertrude Verbanski (Carrie-Anne Moss) at Verbanski Corp. Easily the strongest outing yet of Chuck season 5, the series still feels just a few "zooms" shy of greatness.
I confess that I’ve always loved Chuck, in spite of its flaws. The show exudes a warmth and love of geek culture that frequently transcends its missteps with action /adventure, and it’s hard to judge a series when NBC so often batted its fate around, unable to properly develop story arcs that brew over a full season. Season 4 even represented a step in the right direction as far as adding some much-needed maturity to the series,...

With so many revelations last week, this week’s Chuck seemed pale in comparison. The second half of the broadcast was much more interesting than the first half, but still a bit weak.
Just when wedding week arrives, Casey (Adam Baldwin) gets a text message informing the team of Mary (Linda Hamilton) being taken prisoner by Vivian Volkoff (Lauren Cohan). So two days before the wedding, the team finds themselves in Colombia, ready to bring Mary back safely to the states. If there’s any night to be thankful that the first story line in the first half hour was not the main story line of the entire episode, it’s this one. There was really no need to stretch this saving out, so thankfully, the team retrieved her without sweating too much.

On Monday, NBC's spy romp "Chuck" airs "Chuck vs. the Last Details," the penultimate episode of its fourth season. The Monday after that, May 16, is the season finale, "Chuck Versus the Cliffhanger."
And it may be a cliffhanger indeed, since that very same day, NBC has its upfront presentation to advertisers, where it will announce its fall schedule. So, if fans haven't heard whether "Chuck" is renewed for a fifth season before then, they'll know for certain by the time that episode airs at 9 p.m. Et.
Having just finished her first season as a series regular, Bonita Friedericy, who plays General Diane Beckman -- the commanding officer that leads the spy team of Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi), Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski), John Casey (Adam Baldwin) and Morgan Grimes (Joshua E. Gomez) -- is waiting along with everyone else to see if she has a gig next year.

Last night’s Chuck started off with a flashback from the better days of a young Sarah and her father, Jack’s (guest star, Gary Cole) relationship, even though she was raised by a con man. Cut to Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Chuck (Zachary Levi) in the present day getting conned over $26,000 by their wedding party planner, Daphne (guest star, Lisa LoCicero)…and that was with the 40% discount. Nobody messes around with Sarah, especially a con artist. So Sarah’s determination to catch the criminal came from a very personal place this time. Viewers do not often get to see this side of Sarah, so this was exciting to say the least!

Avatar and Game of Thrones references included, last night’s Chuck was quite entertaining.
Confirming that Vivian (Lauren Cohan) was not a killer proved to be quite a challenge for Chuck (Zachary Levi) after getting played by Alexei Volkoff (Timothy Dalton). The decisions that General Beckman (Bonita Friedericy) and those above her have been making regarding the team’s cases has been highly questionable this season. The entire team thought so this week when Beckham released Volkoff from being imprisoned for the case at hand. What a brilliant decision that turned out to be. After Chuck’s life was almost gambled upon a game of Uno (classic moment for the writers), Volkoff turned on Vivian, and Vivian worked with him only to play him as well…that left only one winner tonight…Vivian. Chuck was all about finding the next intersect for the team and the process didn’t exactly go as planned once his favorite candidate was murdered in the castle!
Things started out quite well as Chuck (Zachary Levi) led this mission, giving Casey (Adam Baldwin) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) assignments as well as putting Morgan (Joshua Gomez) in charge of finding out the candidates’ cultural knowledge. This was of course the most important aspect of a future intersect. Not. But it was certainly the most comedic moment of the episode…that is aside from the missing Kevin Bacon. Above ground at Buy More, Lester (Vik Sahay), Jeff (Scott Krinsky), and Big Mike (Mark Christopher Lawrence) found themselves in a mascot battle against Large Mart led by Marvin (guest star, David H. Lawrence Xvii) and Bacon was in the middle of that tiring battle.

The other people getting closer are not who you would think as Chuck (Zachary Levi) is buckling under pressure playing a game of Operation under Sarah’s (Yvonne Strahovski) direction. It seems the team has “hit a dry spell” without a mission in two whole weeks!
So when Sarah and Chuck see Casey taking out a gun from the castle with no mission to go on, the pair decides to investigate what he is up to. The two follow Casey on what they find out to be a sting with Casey’s new team including, Captain Rick Noble (guest star, Isaiah Mustafa) and Captain Victoria Dunwoody (guest star, Stacy Keibler). Whoa! Sneaky! (though...

Tonight on NBC’s Chuck, Summer Glau (Knights of Badassdom, The Cape) guest stars in the rotating role of Special Agent Greta. One thing’s for sure, you can never cast Summer Glau without her kicking some ass! Glau follows G4’s Olivia Munn, Isaiah “the Old Spice guy” Mustafa, and Stacy Keibler in the role of Greta, but it looks like Glau’s Greta will be more involved in the storyline than her predecessors.
Check out the synopsis, promo, and sneak peek at tonight’s episode, entitled “Chuck vs. the Fear of Death” and find out what Glau’s Greta calls her “favorite” sharp and pointy friend. Daily Show alum, Rob Riggle, also guest stars in this episode. Riggle plays the role of Jim Rye, “a super smart, intensely positive, and slightly crazy CIA agent who’s brought in to help Chuck become an even better spy.”

What a perfect marriage of this season’s major plotline with the celebration of Halloween! On tonight’s episode of NBC’s Chuck, Chuck (Zachary Levi) comes face to face with his long lost mother, Mary Elizabeth Bartowski, played by Linda Hamilton (Refuge, Terminator). In last week’s episode, we saw it come to question of which side Chuck’s mom is playing for. We may get some answers tonight!

This week on NBC’s Chuck, two former WWE celebs face off – Diva Stacy Keibler and Superstar and six-time world champ, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will take on each other in a different arena tonight. Keibler plays the third incarnation of the rotating role of CIA Agent codename “Greta” and Austin returns as Hugo Panzer, who Chuck fought in the baggage section of an airplane last season.
For Keibler and Austin, physicality in a role is second nature. Keibler talks about the fight scenes with Austin on Chuck:
“I definitely have a little bit of physicality, and I face off and fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin. And I do it all in my high heels.
It was just so easy for us, and I think [for] the whole crew and everybody. We’d go through [the stunt choreography] a couple times, and we just — we nailed it every single time. And it was easy and fun,...

Oh happy day, Chuck has returned! And this season, no amount of budget cuts, girl troubles or geek guest-stars can slow Team Bartowski down. Well, nothing but the ever-present threat of cancellation, anyway, but let's focus on the positive!
"Chuck Vs. The Anniversary" kicks off where we last left Agent Bartowski in "Chuck Vs. The Ring, Pt II," still reeling from the revelation of his mother Mary Elizabeth Bartowski (Linda Hamilton) as a spy herself. We only glimpse Mary in flashback before Chuck enlists Morgan on a 'round the world montage that ends only in disappointment and a reposessed car with $43,000 in travel debt.
Meanwhile, Casey and Sarah, the only two legally employed spies of the operation face off with towering Volkoff henchman Marco (Dolph Lundgren), as the mysterious organization steps up to the big leagues of terrorism with a poweful, portable Emp device. Both the team's subsequent capture and...

Chuck Season 3 delivered the intense rush Chuck fans have been demanding ever since our favorite Nerd Herd employee became the government intersect. After two seasons of being the bumbling wannabe spy with the heart of gold, Chuck (Zachary Levi) downloads the intersect 2.0. At the end of season 2, most fans expected Chuck to be the next Neo from The Matrix, using his new computerized Kung-Fu skills. However, Season 3 was more about Chuck’s emotional journey and ultimate decision on whether the spy life was for him. Instead of just knowing Kung Fu outright, Chuck began the third season trying to learn how to use the intersect 2.0 when it was most needed. Usually, this meant helping his friends Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski) and John Casey (Adam Baldwin). General Diane Beckman (Bonita Friedericy) also demanded that Chuck finally begin to operate on his own as a spy. Brandon Routh (Superman ...

The Audio Drama will have the same feel and style of the classic Old Time Radio shows.

The actress, who has been guiding Team Bartowski for three seasons now as General Beckman, has been bumped up to series regular.
Said producer Chris Fedak to EW.com: “She’s an incredibly important part of the show. She’s like the Charlie to Charlie’s Angels.”
Fedak has other exciting news for viewers:
“We’ll see her legs in the first episode. She gets to walk around.”

EW’s Michael Ausiello is reporting that Chuck’s General Beckman is getting a promotion – to series regular!
Exec producers Chris Fedak and Josh Schwartz confirm to me exclusively that Bonita Friedericy – whose stern taskmistress has guided Team Bartowski for the past three seasons – has been bumped up to a full-time cast member.
Friedericy’s “promotion” means that viewers will see more of her character – both literally and figuratively. As executive producer Chris Fedak states:
She’s an incredibly important part of the show. She’s like the Charlie to Charlie’s Angels… We’ll see her legs in the first episode, she gets to walk around!
It looks like season four of Chuck will be full of changes… I can’t wait! The season four premiere airs Monday September 20th on NBC.

Fans of "Chuck" who attended the July Comic Con in San Diego had been treated with a glimpse of Linda Hamilton at the end of the featured footage. NBC has now released a promo for the fourth season which depicts the actress in her character, mom Bartowski.
Hamilton is selected after a search which used Scott Bakula as a model to how they want the mother to look like. Mary Elizabeth Bartowski was mentioned in Bakula's Stephen Bartowski's dying wish for Chuck and Ellie to finally find out who she really is. Creator Chris Fedak confirmed that the first half of the season "is really about the search for mum".
The mission is not an easy ride for Chuck because an obstacle by the name of Harry Dean Stanton jumps in. "Harry will play Harry Dean, the man who comes between Chuck and his search for Mom. Who is he exactly?...
