Screen Daily reports that Steve Barker will direct the post-apocalyptic zombie flick, written by Paul Gerstenberger, which is set to shoot on location in the UK and Spain in July 2014.
Following a major zombie outbreak, Zafari takes place in a zombie safari park where people can pay to hunt and shoot the undead. However, when its security is breached, a group of guests find themselves in a fight for survival against the zombies.
Casting will be announced shortly.
Producers are Nigel Thomas and Charlotte Walls of Matador Pictures, Nick Gillott of Captain Starlight and the film is being produced in association with Umedia, who also co-financed with Gloucester Place Films.
