The 13th Mumbai Film Festival (Mff), a Reliance entertainment initiative organized by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image today announced that Marry Me and Family by Neelesha Barthel has been selected to be presented at the intensive three day workshop. This project was selected from numerous other submitted projects. The screenplay in its third draft had received script development support by the German Federal Film Board in the past and German Broadcaster Zdf is signed in as a co-production partner for the feature film debut of Writer/Director Neelesha Barthel. The Three day workshop will be held from the 11th to the 13th of October 2011, in association with Life Entertainment, "Germany and India 2011-2012- Infinite Opportunities", Primehouse, dffb, Hff and Skw Schwarz Rechtsanwälte. The Indo-German Script-Development workshop at the Mumbai Film Festival begins today.
The workshop that will be held from October 11-13, 2011 will take place at Eden Hall of Raheja Classique Club (adjoining Infinity Mall), Link Road, Oshiwara, Andheri (W), Mumbai.
Day 1 at the workshop will begin with a welcome address by S. Narayanan, Director, Mumbai Film Festival and S. Ottenbruch & Marla Stukenberg of the Goethe Institut. There will be a keynote address by Shyam Benegal, Chairman, Mami and writer-director Raju Hirani.
Apart from several talks, there will be a panel discussion on ‘How do stories learn to travel’ and the screening of Indian feature film Shaitan in the presence of the writer M. Ramaswamy and director Bejoy Nambiar.
