Grace Caroline Currey has joined the cast of “The Breed,” and is set to lead the film. Directed by brothers Nathan and Griff Furst, the film is an “unconventional reimagining of the Wes Craven cult classic.” The brothers will produce together through their company, Curmudgeon Films.
The film centers around Currey’s character Violet, “a rebel icon and badass on a mission to search for abandoned dogs on a remote island which leads to complete adrenaline-fueled terror.”
Currey most recently starred in Lionsgate’s adventure thriller, “Fall,” directed by Scott Mann. The film follows two daredevil climbers, Becky (Currey) and Hunter (Virginia Gardner), who decide to scale the B67 TV tower — an abandoned 2,000-foot communication tower that juts up in the middle of the California desert.

There’s something amazing about the streaming platforms’ global chart. You may think that you know how the algorithms work so you suspect the new shows of the most beloved genres, like true crimes or westerns, or even thrillers, will end up topping the charts. And they do!
Almost every new show or movie that has great marketing and has a great story and powerful cast make it to the top in no time. But what's strange is how the old and forgotten gems appear on the “most popular” list after being released so many years ago.
Recently, for example, an 18-year-old gangster drama Waist Deep landed on Netflix's global chart, reminding action fans how folks used to do it back then. The movie created by Vondie Curtis-Hall features Tyrese Gibson and Meagan Good. Despite the fact that it only received 76% on Rotten Tomatoes, we think it’s a...

Former Marvel star Jonathan Majors was sentenced to one year of counseling for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
In March 2023, Jabbari claimed Majors attacked her in a taxi, leaving her injured. Majors also allegedly twisted Jabbari’s arm, strangled her and squeezed her finger until it fractured. Police arrested Majors on charges of strangulation and harassment. After news of the assault came to light, two other women accused Majors of assault.
Majors previously claimed the incident occurred after Jabbari became jealous after seeing a text from another woman on his phone, saying he was trying to defend himself against Jabbari, who became violent.
In December 2023, a jury found Majors guilty of one count of reckless assault and harassment. Hours after the conviction, Disney and Marvel, which are in charge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), cut ties with Majors. Majors had played the character of Kang the Conqueror.

A New York judge decided today that Jonathan Majors will still be sentenced next week on his assault and harassment conviction.

Jonathan Majors has been sued by his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari for alleged assault, battery and defamation from incidents dating between 2021 and 2023. Last December, Majors was found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault against Jabbari from a March 2023 altercation in New York City.
Jabbari filed her suit, which was obtained by Variety, in New York federal court on Tuesday and accused Majors of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, malicious prosecution and defamation. The defamation allegation comes from the “Good Morning America” interview Majors gave after his conviction in which the actor said he “never laid [his] hands on a woman.” In the December trial, Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry repeatedly characterized Jabbari as lying about the injuries she sustained in the March 2023 incident.

This time last year, Jonathan Majors was a star on the rise.
A graduate of Yale's drama school, Majors had a handful of major credits to his name, including HBO's Lovecraft Country, the blockbuster Rocky spinoff Creed III, and the critically acclaimed indie film The Last Black Man In San Francisco.
It was an impressive resume for a star in his early thirties -- and the best was yet to come (at least from a monetary standpoint).
Majors made headlines when signed on to play Kang the Conqueror in a slate of Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.
It was a deal that had the potential to take him from "well off" to "private island wealthy."
But in March of 2023, Majors' life was instantly turned upside down.
Fans were horrified by the downfall of an artist whom many regarded as one of the great actors of our generation.

One week after the anticipated season 11 return of Vanderpump Rules, Tom Sandoval will mark his return to the Lifetime cinematic universe with a movie that — like his Bravo unscripted series — focuses on a relationship marred by deception.
On Thursday, Lmn (Lifetime Movie Network) announced its upcoming slate of original films for the first three months of 2024, including Tall, Dark and Dangerous, set to air Feb. 8. Sandoval appears in the thriller that debuts just one week after Vanderpump Rules returns with the continued aftermath to the Scandoval controversy, which centered on last year’s revelation that Sandoval cheated on longtime partner Ariana Madix with Raquel Leviss.
Tall, Dark and Dangerous is a Valentine’s Day-themed movie about Alice (Jamie Bernadette) realizing that Chris (Matthew Pohlkamp), the seemingly perfect guy she met on a dating app, is not the person he seems and actually stole the identity of his former roommate, played by Sandoval.

Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend took the witness stand on Thursday for the third consecutive day, where she faced questions from the “Creed III” actor’s defense attorney about the injuries she sustained on the night in March she was allegedly assaulted.
Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry asked Grace Jabbari, 30, about why she had gone out to a nightclub immediately after the alleged assault, suggesting that her injuries must not have been particularly serious.
“I was feeling pain but I was choosing to ignore it. I was filled with adrenaline,” Jabbari told the Manhattan jury. “The next morning is when [the pain] sunk in. When I woke up, I felt like I had been hit by a bus.”
In her testimony, Jabbari described meeting three strangers on the street after the alleged altercation with Majors. They invited her to Loosie’s Nightclub on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. She went because she “didn’t want to be alone.

In her testimony, Jabbari described meeting three strangers on the street after the alleged altercation with Majors. They invited her to Loosie’s Nightclub on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. She went because she “didn’t want to be alone.

Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend testified Wednesday that she did not want to involve the police after he allegedly assaulted her in March, and that she regretted getting him in trouble.
On her second day on the witness stand, Grace Jabbari, 30, tearfully spoke about the aftermath of the incident that resulted in Majors’ arrest. She told jurors that Majors had previously warned her about trusting the police because of “what they would do to him as a Black man.”
“I didn’t want to put him in that situation,” she said.
It was Majors, not Jabbari, who called the police the next morning. His defense attorney, Priya Chaudhry, said in her opening statement that Majors did so out of concern for Jabbari’s mental state. Majors had spent the prior night in a hotel and returned to their Chelsea residence to find Jabbari asleep on the floor.

Jonathan Majors’ ex-partner, Grace Jabbari, continued her testimony Wednesday with her account of injuries she said were caused by Majors during an altercation in March and answers as to why she was not immediately forthcoming to police.
Majors faces four charges of misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment and harassment after police responded to a 911 call on March 25 and Jabbari claimed the injuries came from Majors. The Marvel actor has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
It remains unclear whether Majors will testify in the trial, which is expected to last two weeks. He spent most of Jabbari’s testimony seated with his defense attorneys, looking downwards, with his current girlfriend, Meagan Good, and family members sitting behind him.
In her testimony Tuesday, Jabbari said the March 25 incident began after midnight, when Majors and Jabbari were in a private car home and she observed a text message on Majors’ phone. The alleged...
