When news broke early last year that Warner Bros. had plans for a Beetlejuice sequel with original director Tim Burton on board, the internet, in an orderly and timely fashion, did what it usually does when a sequel is announced. It went nuts. How dare the beloved Betelgeuse be dredged from the deep and subjected to another outing? Nothing new, really.

Seth Rogen plays a spoiled rich kid who inherits his father’s media empire – and his superhero-worthy gadgets – so he decides to wage war on crime.
