- Just after midnight on June 5, 1986, Marla Hanson, then a 24 year old model, was shoved against the wall of a Manhattan building and slashed in the face 15 times with a razor blade. Police later arrested her landlord Steve Roth, whose romantic advances she had repeatedly rejected, and two other men. Hanson found herself the most famous victim in the country.
