After four years and three films, David Gordon Green's "Halloween" sequel trilogy has finally come to an end. One year after Michael's 2018 rampage throughout Haddonfield, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell) is a nice, if slightly nerdy, young man who's babysitting a child named Jeremy (Jaxon Goldenberg). While playing a prank, Jeremy accidentally dies, and the town turns against Corey. With Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney) nowhere to be found, he essentially becomes Haddonfield's new boogeyman. The majority of "Halloween Ends" follows Corey three years later as he struggles to move on with his life. In the week leading up to Halloween, Corey begins a relationship with Laurie Strode's granddaughter, Allyson (Andi Matichak), and runs afoul of Michael Myers, who sends him down a dark path of murder and revenge.
"Halloween Ends" fulfills the promise of its title and provides both a definitive death for Michael and a happy conclusion to Laurie's story.

The final installment of David Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy is now playing in theaters and streaming on Peacock, and it’s safe to say that the reaction from fans has been somewhat divisive. Most movies go through a lot of changes during production, and Halloween Ends was no different; In fact, David Gordon Green explained to Entertainment Weekly that they changed the ending of Halloween Ends after test screenings.

Billed as the final film in David Gordon Green‘s sequel trilogy, Halloween Ends surely won’t be the last movie in the franchise but it’s likely to be the final time Jamie Lee Curtis returns to do battle with Michael Myers. Not surprisingly, it’s a promise that put asses in the seats over the weekend, with Halloween Ends scaring up 58.4 million worldwide thus far.
Domestically, Halloween Ends made 41.2 million in its opening weekend across 3,901 theaters. That puts Halloween Ends in the #1 spot on the domestic charts this week, and the film is likely to rocket past 100 million worldwide in these next two weeks before Halloween.
For the sake of comparison, Halloween had a domestic opening of 76 million back in 2018, while Halloween Kills opened to 49 million here in the United States just last year.

Jamie Lee Curtis Wanted The Father Of Laurie Strode's Daughter To Be Someone Else In Halloween Kills
The final chapter of David Gordon Green's "Halloween" sequel trilogy is finally available, and if we could convert thoughts, opinions, and "takes" on the film swirling around online film communities into energy, we'd never have to rely on fossil fuels ever again. Dgg's "Halloween" trilogy saw the return of Jamie Lee Curtis as the ultimate final girl, Laurie Strode, four decades after her first showdown with The Shape in 1978. Laurie Strode was the quintessential girl next door, pining after a boy named Ben Tramer (who unfortunately gets 'sploded in "Halloween II") while her friends Annie (Nancy Kyes) and Lynda (P.J. Soles) happily enjoyed their doofus boyfriends. When we return to Laurie in 2018, she's single and living on her own in a paranoid survivalist compound away from most of Haddonfield, but has a grown daughter named Karen (Judy Greer) and a granddaughter named Allyson (Andi Matichak).

Is David Gordon Green trolling us? The director rescued John Carpenter’s game-changing slasher classic from the dumpster of disposable sequels by going back to the core mythology in 2018’s Halloween. He then sacrificed any goodwill that reboot earned by sidelining Jamie Lee Curtis and abandoning narrative coherence for random, unimaginative mayhem in 2021’s witless Halloween Kills. The conclusion of his trilogy, Halloween Ends, which promises the final faceoff between Laurie Strode and her psycho stalker Michael Myers, just seems to throw its hands in the air and surrender.
What starts out with a clever refresher steadily descends into self-serious trash, with laughable dialogue and plotting. But as with the last round, that’s unlikely to deter the series’ completists when the new film opens in theaters and simultaneously begins streaming on Peacock this Friday.

Jamie Lee Curtis and a handful of other legacy characters are still hanging around Haddonfield in the uninspired 13th and (one hopes) final film in the slasher series
Halloween Ends … with a whimper of franchise brain death. The plug has finally been pulled on the series (until such future time as it is considered expedient to reconnect the life-support machine). It is directed by David Gordon Green, who began his career with Malickian drama and then transitioned to comedy before being assigned the final three-movie tranche of branded Halloween content with co-writer Danny McBride. And it is the most uninspired final episode imaginable. There are one or two lively moments, and the famous jabbing piano music is always triggering in a good way, but this is a film with a great big kitchen knife deeply inserted into each vital organ.

As far as well-loved horror franchises go, "Halloween" has one of the most complex legacies a fright-loving fan can find. John Carpenter's 1978 "Halloween" still stuns, Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode is one of horror's greatest protagonists, and Michael Myers remains one of the most mysterious and terrifying horror boogeymen ever invented. On the other hand, the franchise is both blessed and cursed by the myriad resets and timelines that various filmmakers have concocted over the years. Do you want the elegant route of "Halloween," "Halloween II," then "Halloween H20: 20 Years Later," and possibly (I'm so sorry) "Halloween: Resurrection"? Do you want to lean into cults and the supernatural, and experience the Cult of Thorn outings with films 4-6? There's also the option of the Zombie remakes, or even watching the original and jumping to "Halloween III: Season of the Witch" in what I call the "Ode to Masks" timeline.

Halloween Ends isn’t really going to be the end of the Halloween franchise. As long as there is still money to be made off of Michael Myers, we’re still going to be getting new Halloween movies. But this movie probably is going to be the last time Jamie Lee Curtis ever plays franchise heroine Laurie Strode – and in a new promo video, Curtis gets choked up while talking about her last day on the Halloween Ends set. Ahead of the film’s release on Oct. 14 via Universal Pictures, one last trailer has been shared to preview the incoming cataclysmic conclusion as Curtis prepares to retire the iconic final girl for good.
Michael Meyers disappeared four years prior to the events of the film, which rounds out the revival trilogy led by 2018’s Halloween and 2021’s Halloween Kills, all directed by David Gordon Green.

Only one of them will survive.
Icon Jamie Lee Curtis returns for the last time as Laurie Strode, horror’s first “final girl” and the role that launched Curtis’ career. Curtis has portrayed Laurie for more than four decades now, one of the longest actor-character pairings in cinema history. When the franchise relaunched in 2018, Halloween shattered box office records, becoming the franchise’s highest-grossing chapter and set a new record for the biggest opening weekend for a horror film starring a woman.

Two weeks ago, we shared the news that a digital release of the Halloween Ends score composed by John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter, and Daniel Davies was available for pre-order at This Link. The digital version of the score will be released on the same day as the film, October 14th, and a physical release will follow on January 20th. (A couple versions of the vinyl release are only available on the Sacred Bones Records website.) It was also mentioned that the electronic music group Boy Harsher has contributed a track called “Burn It Down” to Halloween Ends, with Sacred Bones and Boys Harsher’s imprint Nude Club teaming up to release a maxi single that will feature four different versions of “Burn It Down”. At the time, a Carpenter/Davies track called “The Procession” and the regular version of “Burn It Down” were available to listen to. Now another score...

Trilogy-ender Halloween Ends is headed to theaters and Peacock on October 14, and the film marks the return not only of Jamie Lee Curtis‘s Laurie Strode but also Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, who appeared in the original horror classic alongside Curtis. Richards also returned for Halloween Kills last year, her character surviving the events of that film.
What has Lindsey Wallace been up to since the events of Halloween Kills? Jamie Lee Curtis has shared a new shot from Halloween Ends, giving us a sneak peek at Lindsey’s return.
Is this merely Lindsey’s Halloween costume, or has she become a tarot reader in the four years since her harrowing experience in Halloween Kills? We’ll find out in a few more weeks.

More than forty years after playing little Lindsey Wallace in John Carpenter’s Halloween, Kyle Richards reprised the role in Halloween Kills. She’s back again in the new sequel, Halloween Ends, which is said to give her even more screen time as Lindsey than she had in Halloween Kills. With the October 14th release of Halloween Ends quickly approaching, Richards’ co-star Jamie Lee Curtis has shared a new image of Lindsey Wallace in the film, revealing that we’ll be seeing a scene in which Lindsey is giving someone a tarot card reading. Michael Myers and Laurie Strode are getting ready to have their final fight in Halloween Ends, which is coming to theaters and also streaming on Peacock on October 14, 2022.
In a new interview that just made its way onto our desk this morning, Jamie Lee Curtis teases Laurie Strode’s mental state in Halloween Ends, set four years after Halloween Kills. In addition to noting that Laurie has moved on from worrying about Michael Myers, a stark contrast from the previous two films in this trilogy, she also seems to tease another threat entirely.
“It’s a movie about a final reckoning… between Laurie and Michael,” she says of Halloween Ends. “There is a battle between them, and the irony is that the 2018 and 2021 movies were about a woman who was prepared for Michael. Every day of her life, since she was 17 years old. This is a movie where she’s actually moved on.

We’re just one month away from the October 14th release of Halloween Ends, the movie that will end the trilogy of films that Blumhouse Productions and director David Gordon Green began with 2018’s Halloween and continued with Halloween Kills. Halloween Ends is coming to theaters And Peacock on October 14, the film taking place four years after the events of Halloween Kills and promising the Final fight between Michael and Laurie. What were they up to in those four lost years, you might be wondering?
Director David Gordon Green explains to Total Film that Laurie Strode has finally found herself in a better place. As for Michael, well, it sounds like we’ll never really know where he’s been.
“We don’t really explain that,” David Gordon Green tells the magazine. “It’s like: I don’t want to see where Jaws goes to sleep at night when I’m watching a shark movie. I want to see him when he pops up, and he’s got an appetite!”
Jamie Lee Curtis tells Total Film, on the other hand, “By the time you meet Laurie Strode, she has gotten help.

Michael Myers isn’t looking as good as he used to. In 2018’s Halloween (watch it Here), the latex of his mask was deteriorating – which makes sense, since it was the same mask he wore during his 1978 killing spree. The ending of that movie left the mask with burn damage for Halloween Kills (watch that one Here). Now four years have passed between the events of Halloween Kills and the upcoming sequel Halloween Ends, and when we catch up with Myers this time we’ll find that his mask is showing more wear and tear… and has even gotten moldy. Trick or Treat Studios will be selling replicas of Halloween Ends‘ moldy Myers mask, and are going to start accepting pre-orders (for the price of 79.99) at that link on September 15th. In the meantime, you can see an image of the Trick or Treat Studios replica mask at the bottom of this article.

The original Michael Myers mask gets more and more damaged with each passing installment in the new trilogy, and today brings a nice clear look at the nasty Halloween Ends mask.
Trick or Treat Studios has shown off their Halloween Ends Michael Myers mask ahead of it going up for grabs on September 15, and it comes directly from the movie master.
“The mask features extreme weathering details including a mold effect,” Trick or Treat Studios notes, their mask giving us a good idea of what the mask will look like on screen.
Halloween Ends is coming to theaters And Peacock on October 14, and the film is set four years after Halloween Kills. That would explain the mold and further damage to the mask.

For several years, the Halloween and Hellraiser franchises were housed at the same studio. That’s no longer the case, so it’s a cool coincidence that we’re getting new additions to both of those franchises this October. A Hellraiser reboot is scheduled to arrive first, set to be released through the Hulu streaming service on October 7th. The new Halloween sequel, Halloween Ends, will follow a week later, reaching both theatres and the Peacock streaming service on October 14th. In anticipation of these release dates, USA Today has unveiled new images from each film: one giving another look at Pinhead, who is played by Jamie Clayton in the Hellraiser reboot, and the other offering a glimpse at the Michael Myers vs. Laurie Strode showdown we’ll be witnessing in Halloween Ends. Both images can be seen at the bottom of this article.

Laurie Strode's last stand will play out on Peacock the same day it hits theaters.
Universal Pictures, Miramax, and Blumhouse’s Halloween Ends, the final installment of the most acclaimed, revered horror franchise in film history, will debut as Peacock’s Halloween movie event Friday, October 14, day-and-date of its theatrical release.
The move follows in the footsteps of Halloween Kills, which launched on Peacock and in theaters on the same date in 2021.

“Bloody horror violence and gore, language throughout and some sexual references.”
These are more or less the very same reasons both Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills received their “R” ratings from the MPA, so you can expect a similar level of gory bloodshed.

After 45 years, the Halloween franchise reaches its conclusion as Laurie Strode faces off for the last time against the embodiment of evil, Michael Myers, in Halloween Ends – a final confrontation billed as “unlike any captured on-screen before.” And apparently only one of them will survive…
Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since.
