Natalie Higashi started her career at a very young age, modeling and
appearing in commercials from the age of 1 after being spotted by the
agent of a relative in the business. After working for some time on
nationwide ad campaigns, she got her cinematic break when she was
offered the role of Stacy in the Disney movie "Mr Headmistress"
alongside Harland Williams and Katy Segal in 1998. More film roles
followed, including a part in CBC's biggest-ever film project, "Must be
Santa" in 1999. She turned down the chance to host a Canadian TV show
to go to College, where she studied International Relations, before
returning to film through the New York Film Academy of acting and film
technique and a 2 year MA at the prestigious London Film School in
England, where actor Danny Huston also studied.
She graduated from the LFS as a Producer with several of her films winning recognition and awards at festivals around the world, including the Trailblazer Award for new, upcoming UK talent at the Edinburgh Film Festival (2008). Natalie is developing a slate of short and feature films for 2009-10 that combine her acting and producing talents in London where she resides.
