- Karin Himboldt was born on February 8, 1920 in Munich, Germany. She was an actress, known for Quax, der Bruchpilot (1941), The Punch Bowl (1944) and Quax in Afrika (1947). She died on December 1, 2005 in Basel, Switzerland.
- German leading lady of the 1940's, chiefly remembered for co-starring opposite Heinz Rühmann in the commercially successful hit comedies Quax, der Bruchpilot (1941) and The Punch Bowl (1944). The fact that her husband was half Jewish effectively limited her acting opportunities under the NS regime.
