Here at Dread Central we're big fans of Bela Lugosi's Tales from the Grave (read our review of Issue #1 here) so we're very happy to remind everyone that Issue #2 arrives in comic stores everywhere next Wednesday, May 2nd!
Monsterverse premiered the second issue of its critically acclaimed Bela Lugosi's Tales from the Grave (with cover by the Academy Award winning Rick Baker) at the Monsterpalooza horror event, which was held at the Burbank Airport Marriott Hotel the weekend of April 13th-15th, where everyone agreed the new issue was a spectacular addition to the Monsterverse line of books.
Synopsis:
Bela Lugosi'S Tales From The Grave #2 is a double-sized horror comic book that offers 52 "gore-geous" pages of freaky art and disturbing text and can be found at finer comic shops on Wednesday, May 2nd, for a mere $4.99. That's double the horror of other sorta-kinda-maybe scary comics.

Just a month after Cameron Diaz joined Oscar-winner Colin Firth in the remake of the 1966 British comedy caper Gambit , CBS Films has bought the U.S. rights for the film. With a screenplay by Oscar-winning filmmakers Joel & Ethan Coen and directed by The Last Station helmer Mike Hoffman, the film will start shooting this May in London with Firth in the Michael Caine role, playing an art curator who hires Diaz's "Texas Rodeo Queen" to rob a statue from a billionaire using her eerie resemblance to his dead wife. Mike Lobell is producing alongside Crime Scene Pictures partners Adam Ripp and Rob Paris, who are also financing. Rizal Risjad is executive producing.

Cameron Diaz has signed up to star opposite Colin Firth in the Coen Brothers’ update of the British caper comedy Gambit. The Last Station director Mike Hoffman will direct the Coens’ retelling, in which Londoner Harry Deane (Firth) is an art curator who plans an elaborate scheme to get a rich collector to buy a fake Monet. He enlists the aid of Texan steer roper Pj Puznowski (Diaz) to pose as a woman whose grandfather liberated the painting at the end of World War II.

The Coen brothers' screenplay update of Gambit--the 1966 Brit caper comedy that paired Shirley MacLaine and Michael Caine as a waitress and a burglar--just landed Cameron Diaz to co-star with leading man Colin Firth. The Last Station director Mike Hoffman will direct the Coens' retelling, in which Londoner Harry Deane (Firth) is an art curator who plans an elaborate scheme to get a rich collector to buy a fake Monet. Deane enlists the aid of Diaz's character, Pj Puznowki, a steer roper. Shooting is set to start this May in London. MacLaine still speaks fondly of the original. Short of the Coens directing Gambit themselves, this is one to look forward to.

Joel D. Wynkoop is one of the hardest working actors in the indie horror world, having appeared in over 50 films. He is the John Carradine of horror films. Towards the beginning of the decade, he experienced a resurgence in film work and racked up one credit after another. The 80's and 90's saw him working infrequently, though one of his more well known films is Truth or Dare: Screaming For Sanity. I had the chance to ask him a few questions about his career. Here is what he had to say.
