With Riverdale not returning until the middle of next month, the mid-season finale was seemingly custom-made to keep people talking in the interim. Mission accomplished then, as there is a lot to chew on here. The biggest revelation was that Joseph Conway/Mr. Svenson was himself the Black Hood, punishing the town for their sins to restore the cosmic justice that he unbalanced after causing a lynch mob to bury an innocent man alive years earlier.

All I wanted for Christmas was to find out who Riverdale‘s Black Hood killer is… and you know, kids, sometimes wishes do come true.

On Tuesday, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon premiered a parody of The CW’s hit show Riverdale — though instead of offering another take on the characters in Archie Comics, Fallon and team took on the Peanuts gang.
“Our town presents itself like so many other small towns, safe, decent, innocent,” Fallon, as Charlie Brown, says in the clip in a serious narration in the vein of Cole Sprouse’s Jughead Jones on Riverdale. “Get closer though, you start to see the shadows underneath.’

Will he kick the football? Who killed Linus?
Jimmy Fallon poked fun at the popular CW show Riverdale on Tuesday night, dressing up as Charlie Brown in a dark “Peanuts” parody sketch.
“Our town presents itself like so many other small towns, safe, decent, innocent. Get closer though, you start to see the shadows underneath,” Fallon narrated, spoofing Cole Sprouse’s Jughead Jones on Riverdale.
Marcie and Peppermint Patty then wonder through the Great Pumpkin patch where they find a dead Linus, sucking his thumb.
Fallon made another nod to Riverdale when his character writes a song about Linus’ death, as Archie on Riverdale frequently does.
The clips ends with him doing the Snoopy Dance at prom as the real stars of Riverdale – Kj Apa, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, and Madelaine Petsch – walk past the gym.

“Is that, like, dancing?” Petsch as Cheryl Blossom asks.

2.8 House Of The Devil
As it has been well established by this point, this is a show where the improbable has become ordinary, and the sensible rarely exists at all. Like its spiritual precursor Twin Peaks, Riverdale will do whatever the hell it wants, and viewers can either hop aboard like Betty on the back of uneasy rider Jughead's motorcycle or tune out entirely. Obviously, we here at Den of Geek are all in, but that doesn't mean to say that the journey is always going to be a comfortable one. Which brings us to tonight's instalment, perhaps the most uneven episode to date.

This season of Riverdale has played out like a horror movie, with a mysterious serial killer known as the Black Hood stalking Archie and the gang and sending the whole town into a full-scale panic. But the question remains: Who is the man behind the mask?
So far, the show has kept the Black Hood’s identity a secret, but it’s dropped plenty of clues for us to puzzle over: We know the killer is a green-eyed man who claims to be punishing the citizens of Riverdale for their “sins.” We know he’s killed Miss Grundy and wounded Fred and Moose.

Last week's ending was shocking, and a call to arms that told viewers that anything could, and probably would, happen on this show. So for Moose and Midge to be as unscathed as they are given how dire things looked last week feels like a cop-out.

Welcome back, Riverdale fans! Here’s hoping you had a better summer than Archie’s poor dad Fred did.
Wednesday’s Season 2 premiere picks right up with Archie rushing a badly wounded Fred to the hospital after the shooting at Pop’s. The next morning, Betty is lightly bickering with her mother about her near-tryst with Jughead — “If that beanie-wearing cad defiled you…” Alice warns — and Veronica is enjoying a breakfast mimosa spiked with Daddy’s Cristal. But they and Jughead drop everything and rush to the hospital when Archie calls with the bad news.

If you’re counting down the minutes until the season 2 premiere of Riverdale Wednesday night, you’re not alone. The CW breakout hit, which mashes up the beloved Archie comic book characters with some very 2017 drama, has been touted by as a sexier, scarier Gossip Girl. That would be 23-year-old actress Madelaine Petsch, who plays Cheryl Blossom, the privileged captain of the cheerleading squad whose sordid family drama will be a major plot line in season 2. When we asked her about the Blair Waldorf comparisons,...

Between record-breaking blockbuster films, the penultimate installment of the epic Game of Thrones series, phenomena like the fidget spinner, and huge news from some of our favorite artists, 2017's most memorable moments provide endless Halloween costume inspiration. For some people, it's a holiday - for us, it's a freakin' lifestyle.Naturally, we're happier than kids in a (Halloween) candy store. At Popsugar, we don't take Halloween lightly; we start burning Autumn-scented candles as soon as the first leaf changes, taste-test pumpkin spice snacks in the middle of Summer, and begin our horror movie marathons immediately after Labor Day. For some people, it's a holiday - for us, it's a freakin' lifestyle. When our editors are on the ground covering fan events like Comic-Con and WonderCon, they're observing the latest cosplay trends with Halloween on the brain.

The press release gives a brief teaser description of what we can expect to see in the episode. It definitely sounds like things will get extremely intense as Fred's life will be hanging by a thread. Veronica's father Hiram shows up. Jughead and Betty start questioning Fred's shooter's true motives and more. The press release also revealed that this episode is titled, "Chapter Fourteen: A Kiss Before Dying." We had already revealed the title during the summer, but we thought we'd go ahead and mention it again for those of you who didn't get the first memo. Their main description starts off by using all capital words: "The Angel Of Death." So, that seems pretty interesting and chilling.

When the first footage from Riverdale found its way online many moons ago, staunch Archie Comics purists scoffed at its darker, more subversive take on their beloved characters that have endured for three quarters of a century. But once the show actually premiered, some changed their tune, finding themselves hooked in by a compelling murder mystery that also introduced a new generation of fans to the town with pep.

Rather, executive producer and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa hinted at more of a horror/suspense direction to be taken this time around when recently speaking with Entertainment Weekly:

Alright, so recently the producer of CW’s hit drama series “Riverdale” Roberto Aguirre Sacasa revealed what the title will be for the new episode 8 of the upcoming 2nd season. He did so on his official Twitter account. It sounds pretty freaking scary too especially for Veronica and Archie! The 8th episode is titled, “Chapter 21: House Of The Devil.” It was written by Yolanda Lawrence. He captioned the title tease with the following words: “Uh-oh. Now it’s #Archie and #Veronica’s turn to enter #Riverdale’s…House of the Devil!! Will #Varchie survive?” We’re asking ourselves that same question. Unfortunately, we don’t have any other details other than what Roberto teased in that tweet. It sounds like Veronica and Archie could be headed for some major danger in this one. I know I would personally pass on an invite to the “House Of The Devil.” But,...

Move aside, Archie/Veronica/Betty/Jughead. While that love quadrangle will never actually die, Riverdale is making room for some other love stories in season two, at least according to Ashleigh Murray and Madelaine Petsch, who spilled a bit of scoop on the carpet before the CW's Upfront presentation in NYC on Thursday. While Cheryl (Petsch) is currently a sort of "phoenix being reborn from the ashes" since she burned her house down, it's not all bad news for her.
