HBO Goes West… Again
HBO has signed Oscar winning producer Akiva Goldsman to an exclusive two year deal, with his first project already being announced as an untitled Western drama that deals with the shenanigans of Doc Holliday, the infamous gunslinger, outlaw and gambler from the old west.
This project will be written by writers Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, the duo behind 2006’s Accepted starring Justin Long and Jonah Hill, with Goldsman and his producing partner Kerry Foster producing the piece alongside the scribes.
That lovable rascal Ron Howard is also attached to direct the burgeoning pilot, with his parents, Rance and Judy Howard even serving as co-producers, making this a family affair. I even hear that his Uncle Sebastian Howard is catering the piece. The latter comment is a lie.
