Drafted 38th overall in the 1980 National Hockey League entry draft by
the New York Islanders
Played for the New York Islanders (1984-1989), Los Angeles Kings
(1989-1996) and San Jose Sharks (1996-1998)
He became a full-time hockey analyst during the 1998-1999 NHL season,
after doing commentary for the four previous seasons' playoffs. His
segment "Behind the Mask" is a regular feature on "Hockey Night in
Canada".
