While no one is using the word "cancelled," it's now official. The Last Ship TV show on TNT will end with its upcoming fifth season. Beginning in September of 2016, when TNT issued a (way) early season five renewal, it seemed likely The Last Ship would end with season five. Then, in September of 2017, when production wrapped, one of the cast referred to said wrap as a "series wrap" rather than a "season wrap," which made cancellation, i.e. the show's end, seem all but a done deal. Now, Turner Chief Creative Officer and President of TNT and TBS Kevin Reilly has confirmed the fifth season will be the series' last, at today's Upfront presentation advertisers. A TNT post-apocalyptic drama The Last Ship stars Eric Dane, Bridget Regan, Adam Baldwin, Charles Parnell, Travis Van Winkle,...

Nash tells TV Guide when the network only ordered 13 episodes of the seventh season, they started to catch on. This gave the writers time to plan for a Rizzoli & Isles seventh season finale that could serve as a TV series finale.

Michael Cudlitz as Officer John Cooper on Southland
Photo: TNT/Doug Hyun
Last night's episode of Southland was a tough one for our favorite gay cop, John Cooper. He saved the life of motor mouth Dewey (C. Thomas Howell), who later revealed that he knows which side Cooper's bread is buttered, his bar time with former boot Sherman (Ben McKenzie) only proved how far the two have drifted, he tried to connect with his ex-wife and, oh yeah, he hurt his damn back!
Whew! Is Cuddlybear going to catch a break soon? This is Southland so don't count on it, but we stopped by the set yesterday in Downtown La to get the lowdown on things from Cooper's portrayer, Michael Cudlitz.

Always pay attention to your instincts. That's what Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) learned on the season finale of True Blood Sunday. Earlier in the season, Sookie wondered if she could really trust her on-again, off-again vampire beau Bill Compton, played by Paquin's real-life husband Stephen Moyer. After Sunday, it seems like the answer is no -- or is it? Spoiler Alert! In an episode filled with spectacular bloodshed and surprising deaths, Bill unceremoniously tries to kill Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) by covering him with cement. Bill later tells Sookie what he's done, claiming it was only to protect her -...

HollywoodNews.com: When it comes to the ladies, “True Blood” hottie Ryan Kwanten aka Jason Stackhouse doesn’t have time for them.
“My life is very much consumed with work,” the Australian actor tells the Daily Telegraph, “It would be very selfish of me to try and bring someone into that world when I can’t give them the time they deserve.”
He further adds: “You have to be comfortable in your own skin to do this line of work … it’s very nomadic.”
Gossips have linked him to country singer Whitney Duncan, but Kwanten denies the rumors.
The actor further clarifies the recent news that he’s writing a sex self-help guide. Technically, it’s a satirical book, not an actual step-by-step tome.
Kwanten also keeps fit through a series of exercises, i.e. yoga, boxing, cycling and running.

They say you can't please everyone, but, dammit, I'm sure as hell going to try. No sooner had I posted my Renewal Scorecard than the complaints started rolling in. "Where's cable?" "You forgot cable!" "Hey, moron — there's this thing called cable!" After sorting through all of the feedback, I came to the conclusion that many of you are anxious to find out where your favorite cable shows stand. With that in mind, I present you with this 100 percent cable-centric Renewal Scorecard, compiled with blood, sweat, and tears love and care by EW.com intern Sandra Gonzalez. In other words, forward any/all complaints to her.

Last night's Curb Your Enthusiasm was even more cringe-y than usual, right? Office assistant Maureen's misguided choice in cropped tees was uncomfortable enough (Top o' the muffin To You!"); even I, a longtime fan, was surprised when the only somewhat-accomplished weight-loser ended up saving Larry's life as he clutched her ample love handles from two stories up. Larry's done the "bald people all look the same to you" lament before, but never in the context of a police lineup to prove that black-bald is as indistinguishable from white-bald as Wheelchair Wendy is from Denise Handicapped. And the pissing-on-a-Jesus-painting gag (literally,...

Chicago – You would have to live under a pop culture rock to not know about the big hook that will happen on this season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” - the reunion of the cast of “Seinfeld”. Yes, Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, and Michael Richards all return, but the season starts with a pair of episodes that affirm that “Curb” needs no stunt guest appearances to succeed.
Television Rating: 4.0/5.0 In the first episode of the new season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” Larry is desperately trying to get out of his relationship with Loretta (Vivica A. Fox) while missing his wife (Cheryl Hines) and dealing with a series of disasters surrounding Jeff (Jeff Garlin) and the Funkhauser family.

Chicago – “Deadwood” and “The Wire”, two of the best television programs of the last decade, have been given lavish, must-own treatment by HBO with spectacular season sets available just in time for the holidays.
HBO has been criticized for stretching their shows out over too many discs with bloated season sets that take up twice the actual shelf space as most shows with double the actual episodes. The three seasons of Deadwood take up more than a foot of shelf space for only 36 episodes. But when shows have run their course, HBO Home Video does a spectacular job of compressing everything previously available into a well-packaged and space-saving complete series set.
Whether or not simply saving space and providing only a few new special features is worth the upgrade depends on how rabid a fan of “Deadwood” and “The Wire” you are, but if there’s anyone in your circle...
