Electronic Arts merely issued the green light on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and won’t have any creative input on the final product.
Or so says EA community manager Jay Ingram (h/t ComicBook.com), who responded to one curious Twitter user concerned that studio meddling would sink what is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated new gaming titles of 2019. Essentially, Jedi: Fallen Order belongs to Respawn, meaning EA won’t be involved in the creative process whatsoever.
Put simply, the industry mega-publisher simply gives the go-ahead, and “doesn’t prescribe games to developers.” But don’t just take our word for it; here’s Ingram’s Twitter post, in which the EA community manager reassures everyone that the vision underpinning Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order came from Respawn, not EA.
This was Respawn’s vision. EA doesn’t prescribe games to developers, just greenlights them.

Curious as to when EA and Respawn Entertainment plan to unveil the first gameplay footage from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order? Wonder no more.
Over on Twitter (h/t ComicBook.com), EA community manager Jay Ingram confirmed that E3 2019 will host the first public showcase of Jedi: Fallen Order, a single-player adventure free from loot boxes, microtransactions, and Battlefront-esque multiplayer.
The result? A lavish Star Wars experience that doubles down on story – specifically, that involving a lone Jedi struggling to survive in a galaxy overrun by Imperial forces – and while Respawn already dropped a scintillating trailer for Jedi Fallen Order during Star Wars Celebration earlier this month, it seems E3 2019 will herald the first deep dive into 2019’s most-anticipated licensed title.

Now that #StarWarsJediFallenOrder has been revealed, we’ll start answering some more questions on it. However, please know that we’re not sharing core story or gameplay details right now.
