- A veteran film salesman and movie and TV producer, was a former Second World War veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, and served with distinction in the European Theater. One of his proudest moments during the war was helping to rescue the wounded from the Battle of the Bulge, flying them immediately to hospitals in the United States for treatment. It saved many lives.
- Attended prestigious schools such as Northeastern University and the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) where he studied Theatre Arts.
- With director Richard E. Cunha, he founded Screencraft Enterprises in the mid-1950s and specialized in TV commercials, including some of the first aired on Los Angeles stations. He also owned and operated a theatrical film distributing company in the United States for several years as well as personally producing several motion pictures for theatrical release.
- An archive recording of Jacobs and director Richard E. Cunha talking about the making of "Giant from the Unknown" is included as part of Tom Weaver's Blu-ray audio commentary for "Giant" (Film Detective, 2020).
