Director Aurora Gossé will start the shoot in June. The cast features Anders Baasmo Christensen (Kon Tiki), Andrea Bræin Hovig (Hope), Anne Marit Jacobsen (Beware of Children), Cengiz Al (Skam) and newcomer Liv Elvira Kippersund Larsson in the lead role of Mina.

Joachim Trier’s Louder than Bombs [pictured] starring Jesse Eisenberg and Gabriel Byrne won four Amanda awards at the 44th Norwegian Film Festival (Aug 20-16), including Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography and Best Editing.
In 2015, the film was the first Norwegian feature to play in competition at Cannes for 36 years.
Marking the first English language film made by Trier, Louder Than Bombs follows a father and his two sons who are made to come to terms with the death of their mother, a notable war photographer.
Roar Uthaug’s The Wave took the night’s top prize, Best Norwegian Film in Theatrical Release. Submitted by Norway to last year’s Academy Awards for the best foreign-language category, it depicts the 1934 Tafjord Tsunami which resulted in the death of 40 people.

Norwegian author Erlend Loe is to co-direct an adaptation of his latest work, Inventory (Vareopptelling).
Loe will share directing duties on the black comedy with producer Yngve Sæther. The film, currently in development, will mark the directorial debut for both.
It will be produced by by Hans-Jørgen Osnes and Sæther for Oslo’s Motlys.
Loe has also adapted his screenplay for a novel, which Norway’s Cappelen Damm published in April, and also has been sold to Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Slovakia and Serbia, according to the Nordisk Film & TV Fond.
Loe and Sæther have known each other since the early 1990s, when Sæther used Loe as an actor in a short film.
Sæther said: “He is a great storyteller, and we felt we could pull this project together. Few films deal with aging people who often feel rejected by society once they have passed their ‘use-by-date’.”
