General Hospital fans are worried about Jason. Sam finally – thank goodness – made the decision to take him to the hospital, but Sonny can’t be there. He’s with the police. Well, he’s with his son. He seems to be in that situation a lot in his line of work, but what can you really do about that? He’s not able to make it, but hopefully Jason will be all right. When Liz saw him come in, she was shocked and unhappy. She’s doing everything in her power to make sure the father of her son stays alive and well.

Happy Halloween! In honor of the holiday of frights, Matt, Jason, and Rob joined returned to the dark room they swore they'd never go back to. This time, it was to take on Five Nights at Freddy's - Sister Location.
Last year to celebrate Halloween, we sat down to scare the crap out of ourselves with the latest Five Nights at Freddy's game (which we hadn't played before). Just when we thought we'd be safe this year, the develop had to go out and launch another one...Will the frights be just as hilarious? How many times will they fail? Will Jason ever learn what a bow-tie is? The only way to find out is to watch!

Tomorrow, Jason Bourne, the fifth installment in the now-legendary Bourne series, will hit theaters. Audience members will, presumably, flock to their local Cineplex to see Matt Damon take his fourth turn as the titular formal assassin. (Fans will recall that the most recent movie, The Bourne Legacy, actually starred Jeremy Renner as another manufactured assassin.) They'll come to see what Bourne has been up to since he swam out of the East River. They'll come to find out the secrets behind his recruitment to Treadstone. They'll come to answer the age-old question: Will Jason Bourne ever find peace? But most importantly, they'll come for Matt...

[Guest authors Christopher Lombardo and Jeff Kirschner of Really Awful Movies share their diagnosis of healthcare horror movies with Daily Dead readers.] When the Us was overhauling its healthcare system, much to-do was made about so-called “death panels,” government committees who would decide who lives and dies based on asset allocation. As far as healthcare horrors are concerned, it turns out that playing God is very real, but luckily only in film and Sarah Palin’s fright-filled imagination. Nefarious nurses, murderous docs, and psychopathic hallway stalkers in horror movies have effectively put end-of-life issues at the forefront, but not in a way that can be reasonably debated: your life, their ending of it.
We’ve decided to weigh in on the healthcare hullabaloo by looking at fictional settings that make One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest look like the height of patient-centered thinking. So sit back and self-medicate with whatever’s in the fridge (or better still, the medicine cabinet) and take these seven healthcare horrors—but don’t call us in the morning.

The Good Wife will be ending in a little more than two months. With only seven episodes left after tonight’s airing entitled, “Targets,” a lot of questions still need to be answered. Will Alicia (Julianna Margulies) continue to stand by her unfaithful husband Peter (Chris Noth) while the FBI is investigating him? Will Jason (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) be the new man in her life? Will Cary (Matt Czuchry) be given a storyline at all this season? I am guessing we will find out the answers to those first two questions, if we keep watching. Tonight’s episode contained two very important things: Elsbeth

‘Terror knows no boundaries.’
A young jogger named Jason is out doing what he loves, running cross- country. Unknown to him, he trespasses into private land and is soon lured into a false-sense of security. What seemed like a routine run in the countryside, turns into a heart-pounding nightmare. Fear will run its course. Will Jason ever escape to tell the story?
A wise man once said “Never hate a film. Instead, use a film’s faults to learn something”. Now admittedly he was typing in all caps at the time, so I’m not sure if he was imparting wisdom or just a spambot who had finally managed to string a sentence together. But it stuck with me. Which is useful, because Crossland has so many problems, I feel like I’ve...

NBC News was aware of what the then-“Meet the Press” host could face for on-air stunt in late 2012
David Gregory nearly traded in a sensible navy suit for an orange jumper, when the former “Meet the Press” host brandished an illegal high-capacity magazine on a 2012 episode, according to an affidavit revealed recently.
During a Dec. 2012 segment on his NBC News program in which he debated the National Rifle Association, Gregory made his point with a real prop. As a result, an affidavit for his arrest on misdemeanor weapons charges was filled out in Washington, D.C., though the anchor was never taken in.

7.2 I Found You
It’s week two of the True Blood swansong, and things have taken a very serious turn indeed. Instead of the ravenous nuisance everyone assumed they would be, the roaming H-Vamps are, it turns out, systematically massacring small towns, wiping out every citizen with complete abandon. As if the residents of Bon Temps didn’t have enough to worry about, what with DogBear Mayors, Vampire Whores and imprisoning dangerous two-week-olds, it’s now clear that they are facing possible extinction. It has to be said, though, that where Evil Vince and Dame Fortenberry are concerned, extinction would be no bad thing...

Paul Henreid: Hollow Triumph aka The Scar tonight Turner Classic Movies’ Paul Henreid film series continues this Tuesday evening, July 16, 2013. Of tonight’s movies, the most interesting offering is Hollow Triumph / The Scar, a 1948 B thriller adapted by Daniel Fuchs (Panic in the Streets, Love Me or Leave Me) from Murray Forbes’ novel, and in which the gentlemanly Henreid was cast against type: a crook who, in an attempt to escape from other (and more dangerous) crooks, impersonates a psychiatrist with a scar on his chin. Joan Bennett, mostly wasted in a non-role, is Henreid’s leading lady. (See also: “One Paul Henreid, Two Cigarettes, Four Bette Davis-es.”) The thriller’s director is Hungarian import Steve Sekely, whose Hollywood career consisted chiefly of minor B fare. In fact, though hardly a great effort, Hollow Triumph was probably the apex of Sekely’s cinematic output in terms of prestige...

A report surfaced last night from the Miami New Times that the Trayvon Martin saga had attracted an armed band of Neo-Nazis to the Sanford, Florida era "just in case" racial tensions led to violence. After the report widely circulated through the internet, the first comment reportedly from the Sanford police department appeared today in the blog Legal Insurrection, where Professor William Jacobson writes that the police say they have "no indication" of any such activity.

It has been a banner year for Marlene King. The Pretty Little Liars boss shepherded her show through a whole host of awards nominations — NewNowNext, GLAAD, People's Choice, Mashable, and Teen Choice — as well as a 25-episode second season pick-up. She also led the charge that secured Pretty Little Liars a place atop the Twitter podium. It was the most tweeted about television show in 2011. Stellar ratings, industry accolades, social media prowess: It's no surprise that ABC Family has already ordered a full third season.
Pretty Little Liars wrapped season two last Friday, and even though Marlene confessed to me that she's been working so ceaselessly since season one that her family has almost forgotten what she looks like, she took a few minutes out of her holiday schedule to chat with me about what we can expect this winter when our favorite murder mystery returns.

I haven’t seen this show lately, so it was nice to catch this latest episode of the ongoing drama revolving around ex-boyfriends Guarav and Karan. I'm so glad to see this story continue, especially given that this is a place and a world not used to gay storytelling, at least depicted positively. I would love to know how Indian audiences are reacting to the story. If any readers might know I'd like to hear from you by either dropping me a line or commenting at the end of this column.
Back to the story, I know this is a totally cultural thing and the style of this soap, but I couldn’t help but chuckle when Karan’s mother cried about wishing she'd died before seeing her son brought home drunk. It might have been the highlight of the episode, besides watching Guarav looking so angsty and gorgeous.

Took them long enough! Somewhere Bill Compton is weeping big red tears.
The moment we’ve been waiting for all season — well, really for the past three seasons — finally happened on the July 24 episode of True Blood: Sookie (Anna Paquin) finally kissed Eric (Alexander Skarsgard)! It wasn’t a dream, she wasn’t being glamoured, and no one was in any danger of being killed. She did it because she wanted to do it, and I couldn’t be happier.
But that beautiful scene didn’t go down until the very end of the episode, so let’s backtrack a bit.
King Bill (Stephen Moyer) got super tired of putting up with Marnie’s sh*t, so he had her kidnapped and brought to his little vampire prison. He soon learned that Marnie (Fiona Shaw) had no idea how she cast her spells on Pam (Kristin Bauer Van Straten) and Eric,...

HBO Kristin Bauer van Straten and Fiona Shaw on “True Blood.”
Fairy blood apparently does weird things to people. And we thought V was addictive. Eric is giddy and drunk, pinching Sookie’s posterior and giddily running around the front yard. King Bill is interrogating Pam at Fangtasia about Eric’s whereabouts. It’s treason to lie to a king, remember. He tells Pam she’s not supposed to think, she’s supposed to “follow protocol.” Um, you’re talking to Pam.

Following season three's penultimate episode of True Blood, most fans are likely wondering: Will Eric survive?
That's certainly on my mind, but the first question I had as soon as "Fresh Blood" concluded was more along the lines of: How will this all come together?!?
As has been the case all season long, the main storyline involving Bill, Eric, Sookie and Russell was gripping (and sweet/romantic; can you imagine Bill as a third grade teacher?) - but other developments felt random and unconnected, making me curious if they'll all make more sense on the September 12 finale.
Yes, September 12. We need to wait an extra week for this season's final pay-off, leaving us with a handful of issues to ponder until then. To wit:
Is Hoyt's mother evil or practical? You can't really blame a woman for wanting her son to end up with a human over a vampire.. but Mrs.

So, we've seen a third of the season already, and True Blood is starting to warm up. I've been recapping the episodes in great detail, but I haven't put in any of my own opinions and thoughts as to what is happening thus far. I figured this was as good a time as any to offer up my thoughts on the first quarter of the season. So, to fill the lack of emptiness this week, sink your fangs in this...
First off, let me preface this with one comment; I have not read the books. I know they exist, and I do plan on reading them, but they exist separately from the show, and this is about the show.
What's the deal with V?
V is some sort of magical elixir. It is vampire blood, and it seems to have many qualities. If you are injured, V can help you recover from your wounds.

Hey Spoilertv-verse its Mattv! here with another recap!
Well last week breaking bad ended and so did its recap season but luckily last week also began another great show, True Blood! Last weeks season premiere, Bad Blood, was an okay start to the season but last nights episode, beautifully broken, made up for anything that may have been wrong in the premiere.
That being said lets howl down to the niddy griddy and recap this episode! The episode started off a few minutes after the end of the premiere, with Bill attacking the werewolves who had kidnapped him. In pure True Blood fashion we start with a bloody mess as Bill rips off the ear of a now human were. Bill is stopped from attacking the leader of “Operation Werewolf” by a mysterious figure on a white horse. He is the Vampire King of Mississippi and he is the one who ordered Bill’s kidnapping.

The relationships on HBO’s “True Blood” over the first two seasons have been anything but normal – vamp-human love, love of an ancient god, shape-shifter love, and love for a substitute father figure just to name a few. What kinds of relationships will season three show us? Check out what show creator Alan Ball had to say about the subject:
How will Bill’s kidnapping affect Sookie (Anna Paquin), especially with Alcide (Joe Manganiello) around?
“Somebody took Bill (Stephen Moyer) and obviously she’s trying to find him. It gets way more complicated from there. It’s not necessarily who you thought might have taken him. There are different reasons at work. It all comes together at the end. But I will say that Bill and Sookie’s relationship is tested to a degree it has never been tested before. [Alcide]’s just broken up with his girlfriend. He’s single.

If you thought Jack crossed a line last week, I can only imagine what you think of him after this hour. Jack's gone stark, raving mad, I think he even surprised himself. Is Jack a psychopath? Has he always been? I've thought before about some of the things Jack has done, either because he had no other choice or because he thought it was the best way to extract information. But in the past, I've always been able to rationalize and work it out to a point where I thought the violence was an acceptable means to an end. After these past couple of hours, I can't do that. Maybe we've just been sensitized with the last few seasons. When I think about the torture used on 24, I think of injections that supposedly cause great pain - but seeing them onscreen doesn't have the same visceral impact as the violence we saw this episode.

There's a new ghost hunter in town, and his name is Jason Dark. He's here to face the horrors, the demons, the vampires, the werecreatures, and every other diabolical monster imaginable on behalf of a more civilized world.
Thunder Peak Publishing announces the launch of an Internet "e-serial" that brings a new face into the horror genre. Where the fog shrouds the streets of Victorian England, where evil lurks behind street corners and nightmares dance in the souls of men, comes the Geisterjäger. Descended from an ancestral line of ghost hunters, Jason Dark is the Geisterjäger of his generation. Risking his own life, sanity, and soul, Dark faces unmentionable terror — perhaps even the Devil himself. Join Jason Dark: Ghost Hunter in his arcane and ethereal exploits — unless, of course, you're afraid of the Dark.
The stories are written by Guido Henkel, the designer who brought Germany's famed Das Schwarze Auge series to computer screens.

Last week I had the opportunity to interview screenwriter Diablo Cody and producer Jason Reitman about the new teen horror comedy Jennifer's Body. During the interview we talked about the 1980's horror influences of the film, the magic of old horror movie cover art, Diablo's cameo and the full burn that never happened, the prospects of a Cody/Reitman comedy tour, the warm thoughts from /Film commenters, Cody's writing process, the troubles of keeping pop culture jokes relevant through the lengthy development process, Jason's thoughts on directing horror films, the first time Jason watched Nightmare on Elm Street, Diablo on writing strong female protagonists, and finally... Reitman and Cody address the Juno backlash. And since Diablo and Jaosn are both very active on Twitter, I also decided to ask some quick questions from Twitter users: Will Reitman direct Tara? Does Diablo feel pressure to change her writing style? Will Diablo direct?...

After four stellar episodes, the fifth show of the second season of HBO's True Blood isn't quite at the same level, but there's still plenty to recommend it, including a look at when Eric was turned (here's a hint: he was a Viking, and not one from Minnesota), and Jason getting a helping hand while bathing.
Look below for the top ten reasons why this week's episode earns an up arrow.
10. - Hoyt and Jessica continue their sweet Pleasantville-esque courting. We learned a couple of things about Hoyt in this episode including the fact he moves his lips when he reads, and he wears pajamas (I'm not sure, but they may be Garanimals).
9. - I feel bad for Jason. The poor guy wants to do what's right, and he has a good heart, but his innate stupidity and hot body always betray him. He helps out arch-enemy Luke, which only...

Court officials in Los Angeles have released details of a civil lawsuit filed against Hollywood star Sharon Stone after a judge "inadvertently" cloaked the case in secrecy.
Attorney William Jacobson sued the Basic Instinct actress earlier this year, along with two film companies, Libertine Films, Inc. and Chaos Productions, Inc., for $107,000 (£73,793) in legal fees he claimed were unpaid, plus interest.
But the case, said to be a routine contract dispute, was kept from public view after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Maureen Duffy-Lewis "inadvertently" granted both sides' wish to have the records sealed.
An investigation by a local Californian newspaper, the City News Service, revealed the error and the case was made public on Friday in a hearing with the court system's presiding judge.
In a previous hearing during the privacy dispute, Judge Duffy-Lewis admitted, "No court has the jurisdiction to summarily decide that they will seal records because it's painful or because it's embarrassing or because they just deem it to be private for the parties."
The records show the case was settled earlier this year for undisclosed terms.

After watching the third episode of the HBO series True Blood, I've come to the conclusion that Ryan Kwanten's body deserves special consideration at next year's Emmy awards, and that Alan Ball has presented us with one of the most vampire-batcrap insane hours ever seen on TV.
We start off where we left last week, with Sookie paying a visit to her bloodsucking paramour,??Bill, only to be confronted at his door by the Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living, And Became Effed Up Vampires.
There are three of them, sort of a Mod Squad: Vampire Edition (one white, one black ...one bald). There's Diane, who wears a gold lame dress and a wig stolen from Chaka Khan circa Through The Fire, Malcolm, whose head keeps distracting me (he looks like he overdosed on Ronco's Spray-On Hair??... seriously, I kept expecting Ron Popeil to come on screen to give...
