She was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 1965 Queen's New Year Honours List for her services to drama.
A noted stage actress specializing in Shakspeare. Her various
productions have included "Hamlet", "Macbeth", Much Ado About Nothing"
and "Midsummer Nights Dream".
An Associate Member of RADA.
Entered RADA in 1947 and graduated in 1949.
In 1949, fresh from drama school, she was understudy for Maureen Toal in the London production of 'King of Friday's Men'.
Her ashes are buried at Breakspear Crematorium in Ruislip, England.
