John Regan is nothing if not tenacious. We've been covering his project Sherwood Horror since 2009, with the last update given over four years ago. Still, he's holding on to his dream, and you have to appreciate that. Here's a pair of new stills from his upcoming proof of concept trailer, which we should see soon.
In the movie ex-con Rob Locksley returns home after a six-year absence to find his town under the rule of vampires. He must join forces with his old roughneck hunting buddies to wage war against the evil sheriff and his horde of blood-sucking minions.
Alma Saraci takes on the role of Marian, an elitist vampire, who is taken hostage by Locksley and his companions and begins to see Rob as someone worthy of being by her side. DJ Perry, Bill McKinney, Taymour Ghazi, Terry Jernigan, Mike Powers, Paul Proios, and Austin Two-Feathers co-star.

Horror icon Tom Savini has joined the cast of Secondary Heroes, it's been announced.
Tom's a veteran of the genre, with credits including the original and remake of Dawn of the Dead, as well as Friday the 13th, From Dusk Till Dawn and Machete.
You will recall Savini as the biker (called Sex Machine) with a groin-mounted gun in Robert Rodriguez' 1996 vampire classic From Dusk Till Dawn (see clip below), which also starred Harvey Keitel, George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino.
He's currently filming sequel Machete Kills - annouced at this year's San Diego Comic-Con - with Rodriguez back in the director's chair.
Savini is now on board the Stuart MacDonald directed comedy/horror script Secondary Heroes penned by fellow Michigan filmmaker DJ Perry. The film is being produced under Perry's Collective Development Inc banner www.cdiproductions.com in association with MacDonald's Boomerang Studios.

Who doesn't love going camping and building campfires? And also in the same frakkin breath, who doesn't love scream queens? We get the best of both worlds people and I aint talking Hanna Montana. Coming in 2011 will be the latest in a crop of new webseries I'll be following called Scream Queen Campfire and i'm really lookingforward to this one!

We continue getting updates on the progress of Sherwood Horror, a modern day horror version of Robin Hood with an ex-con Robin Hood type getting out of jail and returning to his hometown now ruled by vampires. The film has yet to begin shooting, but it looks like that is about to change given a special effects artist is now onboard and we have a look at the conceptual art of the vampirized Sheriff Nottingham.

An anthology of horror stories will be told by the gorgeous ladies of horror beginning next Halloween entitled Scream Queen Campfire (2010). The series will be shot in ten different web episodes with horror stories to be told by sexiest vixens of horror. Jackey Hall (Van Wilder: Freshman Year), Rachel Grubb, Matt Francis and Angelina Leigh (Slime City Massacre) have already been announced as part of the cast. Jonathan Moody and Terry Jernigan are the writers behind the project and right now an early concept poster for the webseries is available with a second still inside. Check out all the announced cast until more news comes down the wire on Scream Queen Campfire closer to the DVD release date.

A new horror series is entering the webisode pipeline for a Halloween 2010 debut. A second film from E1 Entertainment is "An Ordinary Killer" which will also be released, on DVD, this October 20.
