Exclusive: Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has begun production on Always Amore, a new movie starring Autumn Reeser (The Wedding Veil) and Tyler Hynes (An Unexpected Christmas) for premiere this spring. Oscar-nominated Patty McCormack (The Bad Seed) co-stars in the film, executive produced by celebrity chef, bestselling author and Emmy-winning TV host Giada De Laurentiis.
The movie centers around Elizabeth (Reeser) who, with the support of her mother-in-law Nonna (McCormack), is doing everything she can to keep her late husband’s once acclaimed — but now struggling — Italian restaurant afloat. With business going downhill, she is forced to work with a professional restaurant consultant, Ben (Hynes), to see if they can turn things around. At first, Elizabeth resists the changes Ben believes will save the restaurant, but as they get closer, Elizabeth realizes that not all change is bad. She rediscovers her passion for baking and might even open her heart to new love.

The classic Critters horror film franchise is returning in the form of a TV series that’s set for streaming service Shudder.
Critters may be but one of several campy horror franchises from the 1980s to – akin to the soon-to-be-animated Gremlins – feature diminutive multiplying mini-monsters, but the imagery of its eponymous alien invaders – resembling demonic bipedal versions of Star Trek Tribbles with shark teeth and T-Rex arms – make them especially memorable, even if the poster image of the toilet monster from Ghoulies was more memorable in its ability to make tense experiences out of nature’s call for a generation. Cavitycolors pays tribute to Maniac Cop 2 with a new shirts and pins collection, and in today's Horror Highlights, we also have details on Aliens Ate My Homework, What the Waters Left Behind, and The Tormenting.

We couldn't be more excited to work with top notch artists on this release, including Devon Whitehead, Jason Edmiston, Shane Murphy, and Matt Skiff. All art is officially licensed, and approved by William Lustig himself for what might...

Exclusive: Lifetime is turning another infamous real-life crime story into a TV movie with Romeo Killer: The Chris Porco Story. Matt Barr, Eric McCormack and Lolita Davidovich star in the project, inspired by the true story of Christopher Porco, who was convicted of killing his father and attempting to murder his mother. Written by Edithe Swensen and to be directed by Norma Bailey, Romeo Killer centers on beloved, handsome college student Chris Porco (Barr), who was every girl’s dream in the small town of Delmar, NY. Porco was accused of brutally murdering his father and disfiguring his mother, Joan (Davidovich), in a savage ax attack, a claim made all the more shocking when a local police detective (McCormack) believed the mother identified Chris as her attacker. Also cast in the movie is Emily Bett Rickards (Arrow), who plays Lauren Phillps, a young love interest of the accused killer who had maintained his innocence.

Doris Roberts is set to star in the Hallmark Channel original movie "Debbie Macomber's Call Me Mrs. Miracle," a sequel to last year's top-rated "Mrs. Miracle."
The Christmas-themed movie, based on Macomber's novel due to be released in September, is in production in Vancouver for a Nov. 27 premiere.
Roberts will reprise her role as Emily Merkle -- Mrs. Miracle as she is known by some -- who is back to ensure that this Christmas is the most magical and meaningful of all. When Mrs. Miracle appears as a seasonal employee in the toy department at the financially troubled Finley's Department Store, neither the store's owners, nor the customers, have any idea of the saintly events that are about to unfold.
Michael M. Scott is directing from a script by Nancey Silvers.
"Miracle," from Mrm Prods., is produced by Harvey Kahn.

PARK CITY -- "We Don't Live Here Anymore" is a mixed foursome of infidelity, complicity and denial between two couples -- each mate the best friend of his/her counterpart. It's a probing glimpse into two strong but foundering marriages where, paradoxically, the best medicine for saving each rests in escape.
In this tale of marital discord, each partner is a sympathetic and vulnerable mate. In many respects, the two marriages are similar in many ways, the most obvious being that both husbands are small-college lit/writing instructors and both wives are stay-at-home mothers. The two families are best friends, spending ample good times together: wining, jogging, commiserating and analyzing the state of their own unions.
With so much in common and with each marriage past the passion point, one-too-many leads to nastiness and, er, horniness. Not surprisingly, the most confident partner, the smoothly athletic Hank (Peter Krause), makes a pass at the ever vulnerable Terry (Laura Dern). That's the obvious result of a night of drinking and smoking, but right under their noses, the stolid Jack Mark Ruffalo) is having an affair with the ethereal Edith (Naomi Watts).
In this smart insight into modern-day relationships, screenwriter Larry Gross has distilled from two works by author Andre Dubus, a vexing portrait of the power struggles within generally good marriages. Through his deft dissection of the fissures in each marriage, Gross illuminates both the hidden needs of these four "good" people as well as their selfish desires. In short, there is no one to blame
rather, we see how each character struggles to maintain their relationship but how each character subverts the marriage.
The film's perceptive powers and strong drama are in large part because of the talented cast. In couple No. 1, Ruffalo exudes a passive/aggressive nature to get what he wants, while Dern asserts her character's needs through erratic behavior and anger. Krause's performance as Hank is akin to Robert Culp's rendition of the with-it husband in "Bob, Ted, Carol & Alice," embracing infidelity to save his marriage. As the gentle Edith, Watts shows the steel within the shrinking violet-guise of her partnership.
Director John Curran has masterfully managed to convey flesh and blood within the permutations of the sometimes clinical story. Enhancing the people-next-door nature of this saga were the film's smart technical contributions. Katia Stano's scruffy costumes convey succinctly the style of small-town professors, while Lesley Barber's somber sounds clue us to the bruises that eventually lead to breakups.
