San Juan, Puerto Rico (AP) — Puerto Rican salsa legend Cheo Feliciano died in a car accident early Thursday, prompting the governor of the U.S. territory to declare three days of mourning. Feliciano, a member of the Fania All Stars, was one of the most recognized salsa singers, with hits including "Una en un millón," ''Mi promesa," and "Contigo aprendi." The 78-year-old Feliciano was alone in his Jaguar when he hit a light post before dawn in the northern suburb of Cupey. Police officer Jorge Hernandez Pena, who is overseeing investigation of the crash, said in a phone interview that Feliciano was not wearing his seatbelt. He said it is unclear what led to the crash, adding that officials did not find any drugs or alcohol in the car. His wife of 56 years, Socorro "Coco" Prieto Leon, told reporters that Feliciano had been at a casino Wednesday night. "He was...

A spokesperson for America's Fox network has denied outspoken comic Joan Rivers was dropped from a TV chatshow because of her controversial comments about former U.S. vice-presidential hopeful Sarah Palin.
The comedienne was set to appear on Fox News' Fox & Friends on Thursday morning to promote her new reality show with daughter Melissa.
But after she criticised the former governor of Alaska, calling her "stupid and a threat" to TMZ.com, Rivers was told she was no longer welcome on the show, according to her rep, Judy Katz.
Rivers took to her Twitter.com page to voice her anger at the decision, writing, "Outcome: Don't p**s off Sarah Palin. She's apparently 'very powerful,' and is obviously still smarting from the end of her reality show. I was cancelled from Fox for saying Palin is 'stupid and a threat'. Wait till I Really shock them with Aretha Franklin is a bit chubby!"
But a producer for Fox & Friends insists a scheduling mix-up is the real reason behind the snub, telling E! Online, "Due to the volume of news topics tomorrow morning and a full show, our booker mistakenly cancelled Joan's appearance instead of re-scheduling her for Friday's show. We're in the process of booking her on an upcoming show."...

Ok, so Joan Rivers isn't Sarah Palin's biggest fan. Actually, she told TMZ that the former governor of Alaska should "go to another planet...and get out of our face," and that critics are right in blaming Palin for the shooting in Tuscon. After which, Rivers' Thursday-morning appearance with daughter Melissa on Fox News' Fox & Friends was abruptly canceled. Rumor has it that Fox dumped her in retaliation for insulting one of its own. It's a stretch, but this rumor is... Well, it was true for awhile! According to Rivers' rep, Judy Katz, a booking producer did indeed tell them that the Fashion Police sergeant's caustic comments got them bumped from...

When will people learn? Do not. Hassle. The. Hoff. Or at least get your facts straight before you do. Reports (re)surfaced today alleging that floor burger connoisseur David Hasselhoff was readmitted to the hospital over the weekend after an alleged three-day drinking binge. The only problem? It's a "false report," according to Team Hoff. And if websites can recycle stories, reps can recycle denials. Hasselhoff spokeswoman Judy Katz tells E! News that she spoke to the erstwhile Baywatcher just this morning and has no idea where this "false report" is coming from. "He's fine, he's at his house, he's about to go to the gym," she ...

Former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff has played down reports he was hospitalised over the weekend suffering from alcohol poisoning.
The America's Got Talent judge was admitted to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday night - with reports claiming he was in a serious condition.
Radar Online reported that Hasselhoff collapsed at his Encino, California home and was found by his 16-year-old daughter Hayley, who alerted his ex-wife Pamela Bach and took him to hospital.
But Hasselhoff's representatives insist the incident was not serious, revealing the star was quickly discharged and spent Sunday night celebrating his father's birthday.
His rep Judy Katz tells TMZ.com, "(Hasslehoff) is fine and well and happy and is celebrating his father, Joe Hasselhoff's 80th birthday tonight at dinner... along with his girlfriend, Kimberly."
The star's lawyer, Mel Goldsman, has also hit out at the reports - accusing Bach of leaking the story to the press and vowing to pursue the matter in court.
He adds, "(Bach) in violation of the court's order precluding contacting the media regarding her ex husband."
Hasselhoff’s alcohol problems were exposed in 2007 when home video footage of the star in a drunken state leaked onto the internet.
The 56-year-old later checked into a rehabilitation facility in a bid to kick his drink demons.
