Director, singer, director and songwriter ("Easy Street"), educated at
the Fordham Law School. He sang with the George Olsen Trio, and
appeared with the Olsen orchestra in "Good News." He wrote for
The Yacht Club Boys
between 1928 and 1939, then he became first a film screenwriter and
then a director. Joining ASCAP in 1955, his other popular-song
compositions include "Lover, Lover," "Little Red Fox," and "Shut the
Door."
